renderB

renderB is a free Tech demo. It worked on my HTC Vive, Quest 3 via Steam Link, and Index system, looked ok, played soso, sounded ok. No instructions. Not much to do here. You can cycle through the rendered 3D VR maps that the devs provided. Teleport using grab buttons. Try it, but not worth the download.

This isn't a game, it's just a software application. "renderB" lacks the basic mechanics that make something a game. Lacking that, this is just an application that shows off a basic tech demo where you can look at assets that hopefully aren't flipped, because that would be even worse than what the developer of this garbage did, which was to publish a software app into the games section of Steam despite knowing it's not a game. Doing the wrong thing, on purpose, with no regard to the harm it causes to gamers and genuine game developers who do the right thing.. To clarify why this isn't a game in more precise terms, a "game loop" is the core cycle of interaction and feedback between a player and the game itself, and this garbage doesn't have one. Tetris, for example, has a game loop where a random block appears, the gamer interacts with the block to position it, and then the game decides if that finishes a row or not, increases the players score if any rows were completed, then gives the gamer another block to position. Counter-Strike has a game loop where a player seeks another player, tests their skill against that player by shooting them or being shot, the computer rewards the…
