The beginning is rough and the story takes time to set in but it is 100% worth it After the rough tutorial that throw every mecanics of the game at you at once, either you fall in love with the gameplay or you hate it, there is no in between. I found the first few chapters to be rough but down the line it became better and better, overall really a fun time

RESONANCE OF FATE/END OF ETERNITY 4K/HD EDITION is a remastered version of tri-Ace’s cult-classic action RPG that successfully reintroduces one of the genre’s most unconventional adventures to modern audiences. Developed and published by tri-Ace, the game enhances the original release with sharper high-definition visuals and 4K support while preserving the gameplay systems and artistic direction that made it stand out from more traditional Japanese RPGs. Instead of relying on familiar fantasy settings, the game unfolds within Basel, an enormous machine-powered tower that shelters the last remnants of humanity. Its distinctive blend of industrial architecture, philosophical storytelling, and stylish gun-focused combat immediately gives it a personality unlike almost anything else available on Steam. The narrative centers on three mercenaries—Zephyr, Vashyron, and Leanne—whose seemingly ordinary contracts gradually lead them into a far greater conflict involving the secrets of Basel and the nature of fate itself. While the story begins with relatively simple assignments, it slowly reveals deeper themes concerning survival, sacrifice, destiny, and human purpose. The dialogue between …
TL;DR
Can't recommend this version of End of Eternity bc I cannot save the game .
Otherwise...
(based on my experience playing it elsewhere) It was certainly a fun game, with a terribly presented story .
(NEUTRAL)

The “World”-map is an interesting Steampunk-style Towel of Babel structure that is only explorable if you engage in combat+story to earn hexagon tiles and Access Pass to traverse around + going up-and-down each floor. The verticality of the map is neat but the limited fast travel to only returning to the Base + forcing players to traverse through places and face Random Encounters felt treacherous. If the game didn’t have fun combat, the necessity to engage combat to level up character and earning resources wouldn’t be enough of a justifiable reason for such tedious restriction
The game is poorly introduced, most of the info regarding the gameplay is located in the Arena( where you fight optional challenge trials and earn coins to spend on pretty valuable items ). The gun modifications in the first two chapter is A$$ and does a terrible job preparing me for the mandatory escort mission of the main story quest
…

I don't know what it is about this game. It's from that era when things looked... I don't know... Plastic. The models look off. Like KOF XIV. Or Kingdom Hearts. It's not very appealing, but it has that nostalgia. The real beauty is the gameplay. It's kind of tedious at times (Especially the beginning), but it grows on you little by little until you're in love with the characters and the world. I really do like it.

The story is lack luster, the music is great, but the thing that grabs you is the gameplay. I have yet to encounter such cinematic gun play. It made me beat the game once, decades went by, then rebuy the game a second time. Only other game I've bought like that... Golden sun- lost age.
