Had the potential to become something good. Clearly abandoned without cause.3 found this helpful

Resort Boss Golf was the earliest of a handful of recent games that have tried to recapture and update the magic of Sid Meier's SimGolf from the 00's. Unfortunately, it lost support from its developer and performs quite poorly, despite its simple voxel artstyle, on a machine well beyond recommended specs. Even if it did run well, the graphics and golf gameplay are still generally not that appealing. I think charming looks and a satisfying golf minigame are two big pieces of a game like this, and RBG doesn't really execute on either IMO. If you're a genre fiend and want to play every golf course building game worth playing, give this a look. If you're a casual player... there are too many better options in the genre to recommend this title.1 found this helpful
Sub par Sid Meier's Sim Golf. Get Golftopia instead. Much MUCH better fleshed out and polished game.1 found this helpful

Fairways and greens can be painted across the landscape, and decorative elements such as trees and pathways help bring personality to each layout. The ability to sculpt the terrain provides a sense of ownership that few sports management games attempt. Designing a hole that looks visually appealing while also presenti…
