About ReThink 4

ReThink 4 is a Puzzle Game in a peaceful futuristic setting, that features a variety of Puzzles that utilize Lasers and the behavior of light and it's colors to create challenging problems to solve.
Use newly added and already proven gameplay mechanics to puzzle your way through the game's beautiful world, which is now filled with even more puzzles than in previous games.

ReThink 4 features more than 60 Puzzles that make use of newly introduced features and old ones alike, to keep the gears in your head turning.
All puzzles follow the same set of rules, but often come with a twist that will make you think about your solution, and often rethink it.

Less linear progress:
Unlike previous games, in ReThink 4 you are free to go where you want within an area, solve most puzzles in any order you want.
Redesigned Cubes/puzzle elements:
The new Design for the Cubes removes previously existing limitations and allows for more complex puzzles that use fewer cubes than in previous games.
Changes to the other elements in puzzles allow for less "spread out" puzzles that are easier to understand while keeping all necessary information closer to the player.
And many more changes, mostly smaller ones that tie into the aforementioned improvements.
Improved Graphics:
Thanks to Unreal Engine 5, ReThink 4 looks better than ever before, while still running "as usual" on older systems when the new graphics are disabled.
Fully dynamic Global Illumination makes the simplistic style of the game shine, while not limiting player actions or Puzzles like previous lighting methods would have.
Temporal Super Resolution improves overall image quality. No more blurry images, more details, no need for additional AntiAliasing.
Additional Soundtrack:
Players wanted one, now they got one.
There is now a choice between the games original Soundtrack, and an additional one.

Very good laser puzzle design, general aesthetic and ambiance. However, it's sometimes easy to get lost while looking for the next puzzle and movement felt better in earlier games in the series (especially jumping). Overall, nice. Completionist's note: You'll get achievements for every completed area; The last achievement unlocks while leaving the final area.4 found this helpful
Another great ReThink game. A LOT harder than the previous games, but fair most of the time. It has a chill soundtrack and looks great, though it could be optimized a bit better. I definitely look forward to more!4 found this helpful
I love the series but I cannot play or recommend this one while the performance is still as bad as it is. 2080ti on a 4K monitor: Even dropping to 50% resolution scaling (i.e. 1080p), the only way I can get to 60 FPS, just in the title screen / menus, is by turning off global illumination, which is such a downgrade in graphics that I'd rather wait 10 years to play it.3 found this helpful
even if it's more challenging than the other games. this might be my favourite rethink game so far3 found this helpful
Super nice puzzle game with loads of challenge - if you're a fan of puzzle games you'll enjoy this one a lot! The difficulty ramped up nicely, sometimes I was faced with some hidden mechanics that aren't always obvious when I started getting close to the solution, but overall it was a very fun and relaxing experience. The only thing that was annoying were the ludicrous amount of autosaves - it autosaves every 10 minutes and when you exit the game. Eventually your save file will start lagging the game every time it autosaves since it doesn't have an upper limit on the saves.1 found this helpful
It throws you in the deep end, so if you haven't played a ReThink game in a while, it will likely make your brain melt. After finishing area E, the game lets you play through some easier levels that were supposed to be early into the game, but for some reason are at the end instead. This lack of tutorials/refreshers, along with the confusing level layouts (it is often difficult to find out where you need to go, as everything looks the same and there are these keys you need to pick up to progress, and sometimes after you solve a puzzle it is not easily discernible what has been unlocked or where), the fact you can get stuck in certain level geometry (thanks to the fact you can walk up things but cannot jump), and the different keys are too similar in color to one another, makes it so I unfortunately cannot recommend this game.
