I quite enjoy solving the puzzles in this game series. But compared to RE2, the story panels are gone. I kind of liked those, as they added a story element to the game. As in any previous entries, gameplay consists of solving laser-based puzzles using various cubes and mirrors. This one has no moving platforms, but it does have some zero G fields that allow us to move up and down between floors, as well as giant puzzle rooms to solve where it's easy to get lost. If you played and enjoyed other Yaeko games, you cant go wrong.3 found this helpful
Mind breaking thing. I-1 level broke me. Great game for puzzle-lovers (geek, not casual)1 found this helpful
One of the best Portal-like series that I like. It doesn't have a story and some levels can get too difficult. But they are worth the money. I expect the developer to continue bringing more games like this. Thanks.1 found this helpful
Better than 2 (no more super-precise long distance bounces) but still worse than 1 (multi-room puzzles remain a bad idea).1 found this helpful
ReThink | Evolved 3 is a first-person puzzle experience developed and published by Yaeko, continuing a series that has steadily refined environmental puzzle design into something focused, methodical, and deeply satisfying for players who enjoy logical problem-solving. Instead of relying on story-heavy presentation, combat systems, or cinematic spectacle, the game commits almost entirely to intellectual challenge. It creates a futuristic environment where progress depends not on speed or reflexes, but on patience, observation, and the ability to recognize patterns hidden within increasingly layered puzzle spaces. The foundation of the experience revolves around lasers, colors, energy systems, and environmental interaction. Players move through large futuristic structures solving puzzles that require redirecting beams, activating mechanisms, and understanding how different puzzle elements connect together. The objective sounds simple initially, but ReThink | Evolved 3 builds complexity gradually. Early sections establish fundamental concepts clearly before introducing more demanding challenges that require deeper analysis and stronger planning. One of the game’s strongest qualities…
I want to ride a train and explore all the wonderful structures. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3182357649 I don't mind puzzles, but hey. All the ReThink Evolved games fit in with my design language. I guess that's what I get for being an optimist and a futurist. :) I could post the same review in all the ReThink Evolved games, but I don't want to spam them in the process. For what I know, each of the ReThink Evolved games have similar structures, but the designs are quite different such as having dark floors and bright walls, which I enjoyed so much. And I like that ReThink Evolved 5 felt more open early on, but does feel a bit more closed-in. RE2 is awesome with lighting under a raised floor in between the doorway and I loved that a lot.
