Rising Lords is a medieval turn-based strategy game with card and board game elements. Send your serfs to fight and die in your name... or let them prosper, and use them to your advantage!
Collect taxes and resources. Dictate rations and field work. Forge weapons, raise armies, and build mighty fortified cities. Help your people become knights, or dump them on a battlefield far away, but be careful: even the most humble peasants will revolt eventually and an unlucky event card can change the fate of your realm quickly...
Be ready to expand your realm or defend your provinces! Relationships with other Lords are a fickle thing and you will find yourself on the battlefield sooner or later. Raise a well-rounded army, give yourself an edge through a card-based skill system and engage your enemies in mortal combat in highly tactical, grid- and turn-based encounters!

The bugs in this game make it crash constantly. For the very basic graphics it uses, it seems to overly tax my gaming laptop's resources. The DLC has so many bugs I couldn't list them all in the space provided. The DLC is unplayable until the bugs are fixed.4 found this helpful
The game is poorly developed. It tries to force a tutorial so players don't have time to start playing within two hours and realize the product isn't worth buying. I started another scenario, setting it up for easy opponents. I rushed – a quick forge, unit recruitment – over 400, and jumped on the nearest opponent. He had over 500. He didn't have mercenaries. 100 peasants and over 400 troops. Where did he gather so many resources and weapons??? What, at the highest levels, can they build 2,000 troops in a week??? I chose the positive events deck. A lie!!! Nothing but plagues and gold thefts.
Didnt realize you cant do the campaign coop. But we tried a scenario and it was very buggy and crashed
I am surprised that some people managed to complete the tutorial because I couldn't - the tutorial asked me to build an army with spearmen and knights but there is no option to do so. Don't know if it's a bug or something. Anyways there is no way to continue the tutorial that is broken.
its a good game. Easy to replay and adapt.
Love the game. Simple but fun. The art style is great. Only problem I have is the UI and some of the clunkiness. The Menus are quite bad and the save functions are unclear. In addition, a pet peeve of mine so far is that there is no way to split a unit into 2 for some reason, and the limit on how many units you can have in an army is just too small. Other than it's great.
