Rocrasher

Rocrasher is one of those silly little games that does not need a complicated idea to be fun. The whole point is basically to push a giant boulder through different environments and smash whatever happens to be in the way. I found the idea funny almost immediately because there is something strangely satisfying about watching a completely ordinary looking rock turn into a huge rolling weapon of destruction. The main mechanic is really simple. I can tap the boulder to push it in different directions and use it to break through obstacles, while crushing the little creatures along the way makes the boulder grow larger and heavier. As it gets bigger, it gains more acceleration and diving force, so there is a nice feeling of becoming more powerful as I continue through a level. I liked how quickly I could understand what I was supposed to be doing without needing a huge explanation. The physics are probably what kept me playing. Different objects react differently when the boulder hits them, and the speed and force of each collision can change how things break apart.
