About Runeflame
Is the mist playing with your eyes, or do you really see before you... a girl with a scorpion tail?
Runeflame is a top-down adventure puzzle RPG featuring archery that places you in a world of riddle magic and tangled conflicts between people and spirits.
Create a unique character from one of four fantasy races and begin to uncover the mysteries of this strange place. To make your way out of the fog, you must hone your skill with the bow and solve the puzzles that keep you trapped. And beyond the walls of your prison, what else will you discover?
Each adventure is a standalone module that your character can explore, and new modules for individual purchase will continually be added to expand the world. There are no other items to purchase in the game, only secrets for you to unearth with curiosity and logic.
Runeflame - a role-playing fantasy adventure game in the vein of old-school point-and-click adventures and computer RPGs.

I downloaded this game looking for terrible games on steam as one does. I ended up playing through all of it and buying the DLC. Might be a contender for game of the year for me, if the next update adds more animal statues. I felt kind of limited in my choice of animal expression. Also, Goblins should be a playable race in the next update. My immersion was severely limited by my inability to express my inner Goblin. Overall, this is a great game and I can confirm you really do get to meet the guy with the wheelchair and the old swamp man.3 found this helpful
"Runeflame" is a weird attempt to kitbash together some kind of single player action RPG without having any clue as to how to accomplish it. However, that didn't stop them rushing this unfinished garbage into Steam Direct. What do you do in the game? Run around, shoot stuff with the laugably bad archery combat, solve "puzzles"... it kind of looks like they intended to make a game here but what you really get is a clunky, incoherent mess. The developers abandoned this 9 months ago. It will never be completed. This unfinished game is just polluting Steam and making it harder for gamers to find genuinely, completely made games. I'm not sure if this is an asset flip, but it's one of those cases where the assets just look much better than the rest of the quality of the game... a glaring inconsistency. There's no evidence, but as always, the biggest problem with asset flips besides the plagiarism is the deplorably low quality of the other aspects of the game, and even if the game assets are genuinely created for the game, the quality of the rest of the game is indistinguishable from that of asset flips. Now on to pricing and value for gamers. Despite being unable to finish the …2 found this helpful
Garbage. Can't even get out of the starting area because of the archery mechanics. It's literally up to luck to hit targets because the devs who made the game obviously have never tried to get an archer to hit a target by getting up on a 20' ladder to instruct the archer on the ground 30' away how far from the target he needs to be, which (precise) direction he needs to face, and at what (precise) angle he needs to shoot with only a flashlight as a guiding mechanism. Utter foolishness.2 found this helpful
Um its a game. I lasted 16 mins. Its free and should be. If the screenshots interests you I say try it out. It wont cost ya nothing. Personally not my type of game.1 found this helpful
Still buggy + Archery Mechanics seems more random luck than working mechanic. I ended up getting stuck in the starter area after some weird bugs. I successfully managed to shoot and hit the bullseye in the well enough that the red sparklies disappeared. While running around trying to figure out what puzzle I hadn't completed as I was missing one gold plate, I twice got stuck running against rocks/objects and had to save out and reload to get unstuck. Following this, I realized that I hadn't hit the target behind the moving panel like I thought I had. I managed to finally hit it by pure luck more than anything else as its really impossible to time it, and still didn't get anything. Running around a bunch more, I found sparklies back at the target inside the well. After twenty minutes, I realized I was successfully hitting it, but it wasn't triggering anything to happen. I saved out and spent another 5-10 minutes working to hit it, managed to land multiple arrows on it again and still nothing. I'm not sure if I was doing things in the wrong order and that bugged things, or if the game simply bugged out, but without being able to hit that final target, I can't get the last plat…
