S.O.R.N. is a 3rd-person mecha action shooter with fast paced combat and lots of customization. Play as J-12, a mech pilot for the PMC Haven, through three missions unraveling the mysteries of the organization.
- Intense mecha action gameplay
- 3 cinematic campaign missions
- At least 1 side mission
- Fully voice acted cutscenes
- 15 interchangeable parts
- 6 unique weapons
- Full color customization
- MINIGUN
A famous assault of lead upon your enemy with a huge magazine. If a bullet doesn't hit your target, it'll hit something near it anyways. - CANON
High fire power with a small magazine. It pairs perfectly with any other weapon for it's quick reload and fast projectiles. - LASER
A steady stream of destruction focused on your enemies. There's nothing in the world that can dodge the speed of light! - SHOTGUN
A massive scatter of projectiles in every shot. Up close, you can do insane damage instantly. - RAILGUN
Charge up the gun to unleash a devastating bolt that pierces enemies. Hold it down for as long as you want then release when your enemies are lined up! - PISTOL
Charge up your shot and if you release within a tight window you can land massive damage. No one can agree on how it works, but everyone agrees it's their favorite weapon.

You can tell the developers like Armored Core. There are two sides to that coin, the good being that it helps scratch that mech itch that shows up once or twice a year. The bad side is that it kinda just makes me wish it was more like Armored Core. That being said, this is certainly a solid framework to build on should the devs choose to, and I hope they do, because the slight goofiness of the characters combined with the classy "drop the player into an existing story" writing style just feels wonderful. Though I finished it in about an hour and 20 minutes, and spent roughly 20 minutes of that ordering pizza for my family... it's free. Like... it's easily worth picking up if you just need a way to spend an hour in a fast-paced, bare bones mech game. At most, it needs polish and more content, but again, it's free.1 found this helpful
One of the devs is smokin' hot (you know who you are)
I lost my speedrun by 0.09 seconds because the whale dived 4 times in a row.
I enjoyed playing this game. Great challenge with a fun story!
A bite-sized Armored Core game. Poorly optimized and way too easy, but it's 100% free and clearly had a lot of love put into it.
A fun free mech game with some clear inspirations. A clearly passionate dev team delivers a great time for an hour. A massive "Why not" as its free and fun!
