About Gare Sapphire Mechs
A polished top down action shooter set in a digital like world with upgradable mechs.
Vitris-47 has been the central stage of many conflicts over the ages. The Idalin empire rules over the planet with an ironhand and war is always present. On the other side, there´s the resistance, trying to retake the planet to its former glory and you are part of it.
Driving your mech around the gorgeous digital cityscapes of the planet, the time has come for a new power to arise and put an end to this war.

A short, nostalgic little top down shooter that looks great and plays well. I would want a followup but it's such an unknown game title that I doubt it would happen. Maybe some tweaks to the abilities, since the barrier ability is bad even if the walker legs are the fastest, the tank treads are a great way to justify the armor but the ability has a specific weakness in the form of walking inside the bubble, and the spider legs are supreme with their absurd shield and shield regen in combo with a moderate speed stat and the fact the reflect is just the best option to have. The guns are a better spread between ricochet shots, rapid damage output and explosive missiles. Your body is a least important, basically asking if you want to focus on armor, shield, or shore up a weakness in a specific health type. I love it, it's a short hour or two of pure gameplay and 100% is easier than most games because there's no achievements. High recommend.1 found this helpful

Good game. The Steam edition added new content to the Armor Games release, but sadly they also changed the story line quite a bit: It used to be more digital as I have heard.
I was sad when this game perished with Flash...so I was all the more exhilarated when I discovered it was on Steam! My only criticism is the writing of this new Steam version--frankly, it's atrocious, but I am willing to give the dev the benefit of a doubt and think perhaps that English may not be their first language. Other than that, I adore the Tron-esque mech warfare and upgrade-mechanics, and I really enjoyed the new music tracks and missions as well!
It's a fantastically simple top-down shoot-em-up. Robots, big guns, and hoards of enemies. Put simply, it's a great game from my childhood. I first found this game on Miniclip.com when I was in the 3rd grade.
