I normally don't review games this early, or leave negative reviews unless I deem it necessary, but I'm posting this to give others the warning that I would have liked to have received before buying. At one point, this game supported an official uncensored patch that was obtained elsewhere. I could find mentions of a few legitimate sources for it, one of which is the developer's patreon, in a freely accessible post if you have the link. They also provided instructions which I followed exactly. The patch did not work for me, and I can't find out why because Google is useless and for some reason Sakura Fantasy's community hub seems to have been hidden or blocked from view. It is still possible to access older posts on the community hub if you have a link for them, but it is not possible to browse the discussions, guides or other community posts. All one can access is a news feed from the developer which is mostly about their other games or sale events. I expect I'll like what's left of the game as it is, and if I do or I find out I'm simply doing something wrong, or discover that this is in fact an uncensored version which it does not appear to be, I will leave an edit and chang…

I was pleasantly surprised by this. Yes, it is an ecchi VN so it is not something amazing. But for what it is it really does a good job. It sets up the few characters it has, the world and the objective of our heroes. It has a lot more choices than other Sakura games I've played and I can't shape the feeling some of the decisions were planned to have some sort of payoff later. I am sad to say that that is something we will never know, as the writer for this game doesn't work with the developers anymore and there will not be a continuation. Like I said, it is okay and had an interesting setting, but there is no resolution. So I'd suggest skipping this one, even though It is okay to get it.
Sakura Fantasy — Played: N/A | Achievements: N/A | Steam Deck: Supported

TL;DR: More Sakura-style anime fanservice VN, but with a better fantasy vibe: nicer-looking art, a slightly longer story, more dialogue, and a bit more “party/adventure” feeling. Still soft suggestive erotica (not hardcore). Recommended for fans — but only in a big bundle/deep sale.
Sakura Fantasy is still 100% Sakura DNA: cute anime girls, fanservice, hot scenes teased more than shown, and light route choices. But compared to some other entries, it feels a bit more “proper fantasy adventure” on top of the horny packaging. The big difference here is tone and pacing: you get a more classic fantasy setting, a small party/team vibe, and more dialogue. It’s not suddenly deep writing or a real RPG, but you can tell they put a little more effort into the narrative flow. That’s why the story lands slightly better than the usual “thin excuse to chain CGs”. Content-wise, expect the usual menu: suggestive scenes, bath/hot spring vibes, tentacle-ish fanservice, and that “cute-but-lewd” atmosphere. It stays on the same level of eroticism: soft and playful, more “anime tease” than explicit por…

Sakura Fantasy Chapter 1 is a fantasy-themed visual novel developed and published by Winged Cloud that represents a slight shift in tone and ambition compared to many of the studio’s earlier romance-focused titles. Set in a traditional fantasy world of knights, magic, and looming threats, the game places players in the role of Raelin, a young woman training to become a knight while grappling with a mysterious supernatural ability and the expectations placed upon her. From the outset, the game makes it clear that it aims to blend light adventure storytelling with character-driven interactions and the anime-inspired fanservice that has become a defining hallmark of Winged Cloud’s catalog. The narrative centers on Raelin’s journey from trainee to active participant in a larger, unfolding conflict. Her unique power, known as farseeing, allows her to observe events through the eyes of others, a mechanic that serves both as a plot device and a narrative excuse for voyeuristic humor and suggestive scenes. Early story beats introduce a prophecy involving a falling star and hint at forces that extend far beyond Raelin’s initial concerns, giving the chapter a sense of larger stakes even if …
