The game is fun, but it has some issues. - You can fail or miss some events because the game progresses daily, basically when you sleep or die, so you can miss the events of the first week. It's a bit strange, since the rest of the events don't have time limits or conditions. - You have many utility rooms that you can use as healing rooms, extra storage, or even cells. Unfortunately, the game forces you to use a single strategy: ignore everything else and focus on firepower, since most enemy ships of 3 stars or higher have an incredible number of weapons. Therefore, the game becomes a DPS race, which makes all the utility rooms or fun rooms practically useless, since you have very few rooms on your ship. - Difficulty: For some reason, the jump between a 2-star and a 3-star ship is a bit odd. For example, a 2-star enemy ship has 3 to 4 cannons or fewer, along with a few utility rooms; a 3-star ship has 6 to 8 cannons and utility rooms. In comparison, your ships don't even have nearly as many rooms or cannons. - Finally, you have farming, crafting, fishing, and mining, but they have little to no practical use.

Leaving this review to counter Divine Weapon's review: The ai works fine, he probably had it on manual mode and didn't realize he needed to give directions after every action is completed. If you have it set to auto, they will in fact shoot endlessly without any comands, fix their station if/when it breaks, and put out fires etc. 190 reviews and the guy is clueless on a basic aspect of the game.. I might not have a ton of hours, and I haven't really played much in moths, but when I played I had the biggest ship in the game currently, which I believe is still the biggest. My only real complaint though would be watch out when leveling up your pirates as they can get terrible skills that you cannot select. I would save the game when nearing a level up, fight something and see what skill I got. If it was bad I would reload and try again. Not intended use but it was better than getting terrible skills repeatedly.

I don't need a complex explanation. It's ♥♥♥♥, pure and simple. But, since you probably want the details, I'll do my best to explain. First, let's talk about ocean combat. I got a ship, and half of the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ time, I'm waiting for the retarded nitwit AI to do anything, and I mean anything. I have dupes of one guy because of a shop glitch, but still I feel like I have half of the crew I actually have, because the rest of them are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ braindead AIs, and yes everything is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ terrible. If you set it to do something automatically, then often it still needs you to spend time directly telling it exactly what to do, because your crew are helpless useless nitwits. Second, let's talk about the economy of this game. I walked around a second island, dug up the obvious treasure locations, fished the chests from every body of water, and some actual fish too. By the end of it, I was able to buy the biggest ship on the lot, crew it with 4 people, 5 due to the dupe glitch, and still all of that was worthless because of the damn stupid AI twiddling its thumbs. fun game but quests can be hard to find when there are no markers over an area with lots of ports or areas to go.

Game has a lot of potential, I definitely recommend it, especially to pixel games fans :)
