To get resources you need to go to the world map, choose a location, equip a squad and clear the arena of monsters (the arena content changes in each new run). You don't have to kill everyone. It is enough to unblock the path to the exit and leave the arena. Each of your creatures has a main weapon, a magic spell and can use three buffs of the current hero. In addition, you can equip the creature with assistants - living drones. Your units gain experience for victories and when they leave the arena, they level up. When a creature gains a new level, you can improve one of three random skills of your choice. I liked the game, but the controls are unusual and inconvenient. You collect creatures you find through eggs, upgrade their stats, and I guess ultimately build your dream team of creature commandos even. First, the pros: The graphics are nice, and the core gameplay mechanic of using your gathered creatures to fight other creatures and collect upgrades as well as gems that allow you to unlock new things on your island... Well, those are good things for sure. You have up to 3 types of creatures at a time, and can switch to them on the fly during your attempts to clear levels. It gives you variety in how you tackle things, and there are quite a few creatures you can unlock. Music and sound are also pleasant to listen to. Aaaaaaand the negatives... The combat. When I see "cozy bullet-hell," I'm not 100% sure what to think. And then I start playing, and "bullet-hell" doesn't seem like an apt description at all. I should point out that combat gets better as you upgrade your creatures, but getting to that point suffers a bit of frust…
