About Septaroad Voyager
Septaroad Voyager is a deep story-driven RPG focused on seven unlikely individuals who must grow--as people and as heroes--in order to save the world from the greatest threat it has ever known. Gather your seven heroes from across a beautiful and varied pixel-art world. Assign tactics to your party members to make them fight quickly and intelligently in fast-paced real-time battles.
As something sinister chips away at the walls of reality, seven heroes hear a call to action. Unite them, strengthen them, and lead them to victory in Septaroad Voyager.

Features
- Fast-paced battles against a variety of enemies with their own strengths, weaknesses, and abilities. Master the systems of Septaroad Voyager to defeat even the toughest foes.

- Program your party members using the Tactics system. Give them a condition to check for and an action to perform, then let them fight. With the right tactics, your party will fight its way to victory on its own. But for unforeseen situations, you can always give orders manually.

- Take the default heroes into your party or customize them however you want. Change their names and appearance. Level them up in 14 unique classes with their own selection of skills and equipment.

- Adventure across a huge and varied world, filled with unique environments, cultures, characters, and enemies.

- In addition to the main campaign and story quests, you can learn rumors from townsfolk, and add clues to those rumors to discover an infinite number of procedurally generated dungeons. Customize the difficulty and treasure of each dungeon depending on the clues you combine.

- Create your own adventures using the included game editor. Or for the truly dedicated modder, change the game itself by extending the included source code.

I am so completely over this abandonware of a "game" that at this point seems as though it was coded with ChatGPT because the development of this game has been abysmal and incredibly slow. I'm honestly blown away by the audacity of these "developers" who actually made it a point to cry about having to go get a real job because their EARLY ACCESS game that SEVERELY LACKS CONTENT was not paying the bills like they had hoped, and this was a year ago with no updates to the game since. What an actual joke of a development team. Seriously. That's one of the most unprofessional things I've seen a dev team do and I've seen quite a few idiotic things in my time. If they wanted funding, they should've chosen a platform outside of Steam to do so ... but they really just jumped right on in, hoping for that cash grab. I'll be removing this soulless garbage from my account as soon as I post this review. This game is absolutely not worth the money or your time. Don't support these "developers", they don't deserve it.8 found this helpful
In a rough shell...
- This review is incomplete! - A key was provided to me for review purposes (specifically for a video review) Septaroad Voyager is something I'm definitely interested in but was put off by the amount of jankness there is. Look I'm not saying it's an entirely bad game, the execution is right there and I'm all in for supporting this game! First the movement is very... questionable, sometimes there isn't an issue and usually I'd get stuck in a place I didn't expect to get stuck in, I unironically got stuck just for walking and had to reload a save. The combat, very extensive, very nice. I've never played a modern ff game so I can't really relate with any of the reviews here as well; but the combat threw me off so badly, where my party would just randomly spin around not attacking the enemies, the bar filling indicating they can attack but don't bother to or having to switch to other party members just to attack multiple enemies. Now, the world feels very bland, there needs to be more going on then simply characters standing still like they've been lobotomized, npcs talking to each other would make the world feel more dynamic, maybe some other thin…4 found this helpful
Nice battle system and job tier. I love it.3 found this helpful
As a lover of final fantasy 12 I really wanted to like this game but in it's current state it is just too clunky to recommend. The Pros - It really hits that final fantasy 12 itch, lets you set up your gambits/tactics and let your team run loose to fight the enemy using your programmed strategies - The skill boards are really nice and the game gives you a lot of skill points so you can feel yourself progressing through the trees and creating interesting builds for your characters The Cons - The inability to move your screen around makes movement really awkward at times. You will be walking down a path alongside a mountain and you just lose all ability to see your character and get stuck colliding with objects out of your view - The map in this game is just awful, it uses a grid map system with dot markers and no mini map so it is very hard to keep track of where your character is in respect to the world - This map issue makes it challenging to keep track of your quest targets and there is very limited indication of where you need to go - The dungeon system is very boring and repetitive, you go into a randomly generated maze where you need to explore different rooms before finding…1 found this helpful
After about 20 hours, both in the alpha randomized part and the actual game, I feel confident I can make a pretty full review. But I am not going to, I am just going to tell you to buy it. Because it is fun, and the dev is working very hard to improve it constantly, and the potential is massive! Ok I will give a mini-review though. Graphics are good enough on characters not to detract in any way for me, and with some of the character parts and sprites looking quite good. The world is in a pretty simple state currently, but what is in the game looks great; Japanese, Byzantine, Arab-Moorish, medieval European on the other side of Europe. The cities and towns look great. The sound and music go from ok and doing the job, up to absolutely awesome. The music in the south, in particular, is fantastic. The combat system plays like Final Fantasy 12, with a larger party, and some MMORPG mechanics like threat control. It is pretty simple at the top level, get more points, open new skills on a board, get better stats from it. But then you get to the mix and match of class changing, of building a set of tactics for each character, of summoning a pet and giving out buffs and slapping a debuf…1 found this helpful
