I have no idea who design the quest system, but you can uterly feck over some of it. There are quest if you start and do not finish (I don't want to spoiler) immidietly, you not just fail, but lose out on possible characters. You can skip story as well, like I was just exploring and the game without warning progresses the story, do not warn you about possible skipped story or quests. There are even gender lock here, like there are quest you can't progress if you are female for example... This whole system is a mess and very much can ruin the full experience. Multiple times I had to look it up only what the heck am I doing wrong, because the game just gonna tell you to go here.... AND NOTHING HAPPENS THERE!!! God! The concept is good, there are great ideas here, but the execution is so lacking. I do not recommand it, only for those who very much like JRPG.7 found this helpful
A very unique and fun JRPG experience, featuring non-linear progression, an "inheritance" system for not just your unit, but all the units in your party, all wrapped up in a beautiful looking game. The game is somewhat light on the story, especially compared to some other JRPGs, but what was there was thought provoking and added to the enjoyment. My only complaint would be that some mechanics still aren't explained well enough ingame, but this is just a minor blemish in an otherwise excellent JRPG game. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys JRPGs and are looking for something familiar, but with unique twists to the formula.1 found this helpful
I love this game so far, only downside is a me problem. I get side tracked really easy, so the side quests get me lost. That being said the side quests are great and easy to complete so worth the play and plenty of replay ability. Awesome game, awesome characters. (9/10)

Hell of a journey! This takes the usual SaGa series weird mechanics and packages them in a really easy to approach way. It's got a framework of going generation by generation which encourages trying out different party lineups, and developing some real sicko party composition is super fun. The combat stays entertaining, and the game looks fantastic and stylish, you'd hardly expect it to be a remake of an old-school pixel RPG. I highly recommend peeking at the demo, since you can carry the data forward. This one's jumped up to being one of my top RPGs out there.
