Short review after completing the game: Silverfall: Earth Awakening is an expansion/standalone game to the first one set immediately after the main events of the first game. I will be short, is this game better then the first one, yes. Is it still a bad game, sadly also yes. All the main cons from the first game still apply to this one (see my review for Silverfall) so i cannot recommend this game. However that being sad this game does bring some improvements. This game has a competent crafting system, you also find demons which serve as kind of enhancements to your weapons/armors and some can even level up (you find them as loot or after completing side quests). Newer maps are not over sized maps and are a bit more structured, same for the main story its slightly better. In the end if you really enjoyed the first game you will have some fun also here but for any average ARPG or RPG player this game wont do much. Instead of this i really recommend the Dungeon Siege series, the second game is a masterpiece compared to this one and offers similar style of game play.

this must be the most dumb azz dlc ever in rpg history. not only it feels like whole different game, it also have different system and balancing than base game. the enemies now more sponge. it takes forever to kill one enemies when my perk is maxed out, this happened to favoring new crafting system, that not even exist in base game, now in order to dealt the massive damage that you normally dealt in base game, now you have to farming material to crafting better/epic type weapon that normally just dropped from enemies. bow now need 8 shot to kill single enemies with maxed perk, where it usually take 3/4 shot with crit chances. dropping rate is increasingly lowered, even though my entire party wearing backpack that increase drop rate that totally 50% and with perk also increase 25%, even beating champion mobs unlikely drop epic gear. freaking awful decision, it ruining the whole base game flow. game felt more grounded than fast paced like base game. the enemies is still horde but the game now grounded? now its need forever to kill single enemies, then it gonna take whole eternity to clear one horde.

Silverfall: Earth Awakening is a substantial standalone expansion that builds upon the foundations of the original Silverfall by broadening its systems, world, and thematic ambitions. Developed by Monte Cristo and published by Focus Entertainment, the game represents a distinctly mid-2000s approach to action RPG design, one that prioritizes scale, customization, and player agency over streamlined presentation. Even today, it stands as an interesting snapshot of an era when ARPGs were experimenting with large worlds, complex skill trees, and moral alignment systems rather than tightly scripted experiences. The setting of Earth Awakening centers on the fantasy world of Nelwë, a land fractured by the growing conflict between the forces of nature and the rise of technology. This philosophical divide is more than narrative flavor; it underpins the game’s core identity and influences how the story unfolds. Rather than presenting a single linear plot, the game offers a looser narrative structure where exploration, side quests, and faction interactions gradually reveal the broader state of the world. The storytelling is understated and sometimes fragmented, but it provides a steady sense …
