Overall I enjoyed it. I wish the item descriptions were less cryptic, because I still don't know what half of them do. And after a while the gameplay feels really samey, which doesn't encourage replaying countless times more just to figure out what's what.

i want to play this game, its seems pretty fun and i want to properly explore but i genuinely cant do it because theres no way to turn off the flashing lights which are unavoidable (i spent a good 10 minutes looking) i feel like this is a huge oversight because it just completely blocks photosensitive people from playing if you arent photosensitive give this game a go its pretty fun but if you are skip it

Skull8 is a really clever little puzzle game that I enjoyed because it takes the familiar idea of Minesweeper and gives it a dark fantasy setting. I enter a procedurally generated labyrinth and have a limited amount of time to search for lost relics. I liked how quickly the simple rules turn into a tense little race against the clock. The main challenge comes from interpreting clues and deciding which parts of the labyrinth are safe to explore. I have to think before moving because a bad decision can waste precious time or put the whole attempt at risk. I enjoyed this because the game rewards careful observation rather than fast reflexes. The procedural generation gives each attempt some variety. I cannot simply memorize the perfect route and repeat it forever, so every new run asks me to think about the information in front of me. The leaderboard also gives the game a nice score chasing element when I start trying to become more efficient. The retro presentation fits the mechanics really well. The minimalist visuals make the important information easy to focus on, while the dark fantasy theme gives the small puzzle system some extra personality. I liked how much atmosphere the …
