TL;DR - Soul Slasher is a free PvP-only game with no active players, no AI, and generic combat. With only tutorial and practice "playable", the core experience is inaccessible and feels unfinished. I gave Soul Slasher a shot because it’s free and looked like it could offer some quick PvP action. Unfortunately, I couldn’t play a single match. The game is entirely multiplayer and PvP-focused, but there’s no one online. Matchmaking never worked, and without bots or any kind of offline mode, I was stuck with just the tutorial and practice arena. Combat feels generic and uninspired. There’s no real innovation in the mechanics, and the three available classes don’t offer much variety. The arenas have randomized buffs, which could be interesting, but without opponents, they’re just empty features. There’s a “dungeon mode” button in the menu, but it’s not clickable and there’s no information about what it’s supposed to do. It’s just sitting there, like a forgotten idea.
