About Slayaway Camp

✦ AI summary

Slide a voxel-faced slasher around isometric puzzle levels to strategically eliminate camp counselors in over 200 increasingly devious scenarios. This darkly comedic logic game wraps brutal puzzle design in a loving, gore-soaked tribute to 1980s slasher films, complete with celebrity voice acting and unlockable killers inspired by cult horror classics.

ABOUT THIS GAME

Experience a new dimension of gut-blasting terror as an unspeakable killing force of skull-faced killing maims and kills his way through smart-mouthed, over-sexed, substance-abusing young adults. No victim is safe… no law enforcement enforces the law enough… and no animals are harmed… in the summer horror blockbuster smash hit of 1984.

Slayaway Camp is a killer puzzle where you control Skullface, a psychotic slasher bent on slaughtering camp counselors at the title campground. Depicted in colourful voxel graphics, this adorable murderer slides around isometric puzzle levels decapitating, squashing, and perforating his blocky victims. It’s a diabolical logic game that also happens to be a bloody tribute to eighties trash horror.

The best Review I can give this game, is I spent 6 hours on the actual puzzles and watching cutscenes, then spent 5 hours grinding for coins to 100% this game. The Red Hair Girl from Slayaway Camp 1-8, I am sorry I made you burn for hours just for achievements... This game is fun, a decently good puzzle game, but... THE GRIND IS HARSH!!! I will say, its worth it on a sale, but for 10 bucks, you can get a better and less grindy puzzle game, however, the game does pay homage to Horror so well, with skins from Evil Dead's Tree, to Ghostface and Pinhead, heck, JAWS got referenced nicely. This game is funny, charming, and one hell of a fun time, but not worth the LONG grind for its price. If you want it, get it. But, I would say, wait for a sale.

Very fun puzzle game for horror fans. Lots of killers and movie references, puzzles start fairly easy and get to be very difficult after you complete the game once. So it has great replay as none of the puzzles are the same(the stages art is the same just more complex puzzles). I honestly can't think of anything negative about this game.

Amazing game, but there are some cons: -boring grinding -killing animations are the same -sometimes ost becomes very annoying because of its frequency. Without paying attention to this, this game is still my favourite puzzle. I regret for not having completed this game when i was a child.
