Something Strange

A really weird text game.

Something Strange is a very short visual novel that I found more interesting than I expected. It starts out by making everything feel like a completely ordinary day, with me simply going about my routine and meeting new people. That normal feeling is exactly what makes the strange parts work, because I slowly start noticing that something is definitely not right. The gameplay is almost entirely focused on reading and moving through the story. There are no complicated mechanics or difficult choices to deal with, and I actually think that works well for this particular experience. I can simply sit back, follow the conversations and pay attention to the details around me. It feels more like a short interactive story than a traditional game. What I liked most is the way the game plays with my expectations. It gives me a calm and almost cheerful situation before gradually introducing an uncomfortable sense that something is hiding underneath it. I enjoyed wondering whether I was supposed to take everything at face value or start looking for clues that the world was not as normal as it appeared. Best game I Have EVER played in my LIFE. The Door character was especially my favorite because the color and texture really make it POP. I also really wanted to confess my love for dah (Daddy) but I couldn't T_T Recommend this 10/10 game there are so many hot and sexy characters i was literally DROOLING at the mouth the entire time. The impact frames really put everything together.
