I have completed the game on both Switch and PC, and I absolutely love it. Controller can be a bit tough at times, but the game is the perfect mix of chill and challenging. I cant recommend this game enough. My only complaint would be that in some of the songs the notes overlap quite a bit with the background music and it sounds annoying, and the hold notes are a bit too sharp and high pitched, but the music and sound design is amazing, as well as the animations. Overall a nice story about a little bird finding where he truly belongs :) (please make a sequel, maybe with older Birb or a whole new location)2 found this helpful
I don't remember exactly how I came across this game, but I'm so glad I did. Even if I had some short stressful moments with my keyboard, it worked out eventually. Songbird Symphony is an enjoyable game to play with a lot of music and good lyrics. The story is so touching and it actually made me think of a time where I thought I don't belong somewhere, too. That's why little Birb's story is so relatable. If we think about it, we all had or have a moment like that in life. Now, can anybody sing any of those songs? 🥺1 found this helpful
My only qualm quite literally is not being able to map your own buttons I kept forgetting that my controller (Nintendo style) is incorrect and pressing the wrong X, Y etc however it's pretty generous. There's a lot of different styles of rhythm games in this and it gets a bit disorienting with the buttons being take them as they are. I'd suggest if you're playing on PC maybe use a keyboard if not an Xbox style controller. That being said I think this is an adorable game that's a great rhythm game. I really loved the art style and charm of it highly recommend. It goes on sale for way too cheap often. A great, short time.
Wonderful experience, it feels like the type of game you'd play in your childhood and have fond memories of. It's a combination of two genres I adore, rhythm and metroidvania. Although, it had more rhythm than the latter, it's not like an actual full fledged metroidvania in my opinion. The only gripe I really have with the game is that it does have missable achievements, I had to replay the entire game just to get that last achievement but I suppose you can brush that off since not everyone cares about completionist stuff.
Awesome game, awesome designs and awesome music! Btw hi Mr Tan Kang Soon I dont know if you read steam reviews but I was one of your students :D Loved playing the demo on the first day of class and I loved the overall game too. In my opinion the game is very underrated and definitely needs more attention. Anyways, thanks for an experience i'll never forget, the feeling of jamming to Uncle Pea's in the intro is very memorable
The way the camera follows the character makes me dizzy.
