An early attempt at a twin-stick game, by an indie developer. Some glaring issues, but overall pretty good. Played this game on ubuntu linux 18.10 with radeon mesa drivers and an xbox-type gamepad controller. Some issues that I saw were: (a) gamepad cannot be used for the menus, including between levels (b) the meta-game unlocks all got lost at one point, (c) gameplay is pretty repetitive, (d) game cannot handle gamepad disconnect-reconnects The game graphics look really nice, and the music is nice although I shut it off because it did not help the gameplay. I had some trouble with the level design, as the transparent walls disappear when they are near the edge of the screen. Bottomline is this game is worth purchasing, but with many other twin-sticks available, it might be a redundant game in your collection. It is a coin-flip whether I would recommend it, but I would like to come back and try the multiplayer co-op, at some point. Hope the developers keep working on it, or at least deal with controller issues.8 found this helpful
Summary: It's a pretty good bullet-shooting game with some progression. The music fits the atmosphere and the graphics are great if you're into neon/retro style. That being said, the game does feel repetitive after a while. There are ship/weapon upgrades but it's nothing special, just increase in stats. There are 20 stages per difficulty and they don't feel much different from each other. The selection of music is limited so you will hear the same music after a few stages. Overall, good value for the bucks, especially if you liked to play the bullet-shooting games at arcade. Pros: - Great music - Fancy graphics - Smooth control - Multiplayer mode (Co-Op and PvP) - Fast gameplay - Cheap - Good speedrunning material Cons: - Limited number of music - Somewhat repetitive - Fast gameplay (for those who prefer calm games) FYI: Normal mode feels easy, although I admit I died a few times in Normal. If you're good at this kind of games, try harder difficulties. I recommend buying the fastest ship and spamming boost on it. It's feckin awesome. I received the product for free for being a volunteer translator, but I wrote this review based solely on the game…3 found this helpful
With only two people they have created a very solid shoot 'em up game PROs: + Great performance, solid 60 fps + Great and clear special effects + Simple, responsive control + Upgradable aircrafts and weapons + Satisfying destroying hundred of enemies, no need to be serious when playing + Support for online and offline co-op + Fair challenge, very friendly to newcomers, and quickly to 100% achievements NEUTRALs: ~ Quite repetitive with the same 20 maps per difficulty ~ Only one style of map, some confusing map layouts ~ Few soundtracks CONs - No bosses fight Final Score: 8/10 - Great1 found this helpful
Fun arcade top-down shooter. Very Tron-esque graphics. Recommended to play with Lucy and desired music.1 found this helpful
Amateur-hour rubbish. Regret buying. Would insta-refund but failed to try game while still in refund window.
Oh yeah! Easy recommendation. Quick install and play. No frills, instant load times. Great soundtrack. Minimalist graphics. Very high framerate. Satisfying shmup play. And the $1 sale made it a no-brainer.
