Compete with others in Square Games Leaderboard
Gameplay:
- Use the keyboard, mouse or touchdevice to move the active block around and push it into the Square so that all the blocks in a row or column match. When the blocks match , the row or column disappears.
- When all blocks are eliminated, you move up to the next level.
- The higher the level of difficulty, the shorter the time you have to solve the level.
Game modes:
- Classic: 9 Level - like back then
- Arcarde: endless mode

"Square Game" is a simple colour matching game where you slide blocks around to create matching lines which then disappear etc etc... it's been done a million times before, better than this variation on an old, dead, tired, mobile/Flash tier theme. While I couldn't find this on the mobile app stores, everything about it looks and feels like it's a mobile app designed for mobile phones... for PC gaming enthusiasts, it's not going to give you a cutting edge PC gaming experience. That alone is enough to disqualify this from any recommendation. We don't spend thousands building gaming rigs so that we can pretend they're iPhones and play iPhone games and mobile apps. This feels more like a tech demo or a project smacked together hurriedly to try make a kind of minimum viable product just good enough to pass the developers unambitious idea and shove it into Steam Direct to see if you can actually pay $100 and publish junk through Steam Direct. Yeah, you can. Is this good for gamers? Nope. This game features very lacklustre minimalist "art" for graphics instead of anything remotely contemporary. I'm sure the "developer" thought this would come across as "artistic", but it doesn't,…2 found this helpful

Игра "Square Game" оказалась на удивление затягивающей головоломкой. Простая на первый взгляд концепция – соединять точки, чтобы создавать квадраты – таит в себе гораздо больше глубины, чем можно ожидать. Первые уровни служат отличным обучением, плавно вводя в механику и правила. По мере прохождения сложность возрастает, требуя стратегического мышления и планирования каждого хода. Просто так, наугад расставлять линии уже не получится – нужно просчитывать наперед, чтобы и противнику не дать замкнуть квадрат, и самому не упустить выгодную возможность. Визуальное оформление минималистичное, но приятное глазу. Цвета спокойные, не отвлекают от игрового процесса. Музыкальное сопровождение ненавязчивое и создает расслабляющую атмосферу. Несмотря на свою простоту, "Square Game" предлагает интересный и захватывающий геймплей, который может увлечь на часы. Отличный вариант, чтобы скоротать время и потренировать свой мозг. Рекомендую всем любителям головоломок!
I would call it bean squeezing, pushing a bean in from the edge and squeezing the other side out. Full rows of the same color are eliminated. Quite a new experience.
