About Square Shooter
Seriously, I don't know what the second square is. Tell your own story about it. The only thing that is important is that you bring it safely to the marked point.
There is no stuffed skill tree here. The only skills are your gaming skills. This is a minimalistic fast-paced shooter with a high level of difficulty, so you should start getting better quickly.
There is no character building over the ages here, and no fancy variety of weapons. all you have is a rifle, grenade and unlimited ammo.
It's not a circus, it's a combat :).

Found this on the "soon releasing" page and wishlisted it, thought it looked cool. Was worried it'd be overpriced, but.....only $5. Pros: The art style is simple and very chill. The dev states its 100% skill and they are right. Even when I died I didnt get mad at the game, because im an idiot. I got into cat & mouse shoot out with the enemy and it actually made me laugh. Levels are destructible, except for stuff you and ricochet your bullets off of....these 2 things make a simple roguelike incredible. Its not graphically demanding so chances are you can run it. Little square AI runs away and has great common sense. Cons: Enemy AI can get stuck in corners (rarely) I'd love to see more settings options. And friend leader board ....... because.... I'm buying this for a friend of mine because this is something special. I only have 9 minutes logged on this at time of review but this will be a GOTY contender for me. 10/10. To the dev. Nice f****** work!3 found this helpful
Simple concept and mechanics, but it's better than new mw3 by a long shot. Absolutely a fun small game to fill in spare time.1 found this helpful
Unfortunately, it's hard to recommend this game currently. I love the aesthetic and simplicity of it. Those are what initially attracted me to the game. But it's simplistic to a fault. There are no lives or continues, so if you get hit by one errant reflected shot or misplaced grenade, that's it; you have to start from the very first level. The levels are all very same-y, being a procedurally generated collection of rooms and trees. There's only one song, and while it's decent, it doesn't seem to be very long and just loops endlessly. The enemy AI and pathfinding of your little box buddy are pretty good, but those aren't enough to keep my interest in the game. If there were some sort of lives system and more variety in weapons, enemies, levels, and music, this could be a recommend. I really do like its look.1 found this helpful
It's a good game. It doesn't take up very much storage so it's good if your low on storage. It isn't very system demanding and it doesn't take much to run. (I'm on a chromebook and I think I meet the recommended requirements) and I can also see how this game can grow over time the game isn't much now but it has just started.1 found this helpful
It's fine.
