Turn-based strategy in another way to play, very creative, I like this.

Star Tactics Redux is a turn based space strategy game that is much more serious than the simple presentation makes it look. I am controlling fleets of ships in large battles where positioning, movement and the type of ship I bring can completely change how a fight goes. There is a campaign with 30 missions, along with an endless skirmish mode where I can keep fighting random battles. I like that the game gets straight to the tactical side instead of filling everything with a huge story that I do not really need. The fleet building is probably the part I enjoy most. There are 36 main ships ranging from small scouts all the way up to huge command ships, with different versions giving me more than 60 units to work with. I have to think about what I want my fleet to do before a battle even starts because taking too many slow ships can leave me vulnerable, while bringing too many small ships can make it harder to deal with heavily armoured targets. I like that there is not one obvious fleet that works for every situation. The way I build my force actually matters. The battles themselves are where Star Tactics Redux gets much better.
