SO! I know you see all the comments saying this game is subpar and what not.....theyre not wrong but theyre not right. The game itself is really good and i knew it was gonna be good from the trailer/ demo snippet we were given before it was released. althoughhhhh, there is a tiny little hiccup (or hiccups) they still need to polish this game out of bugs and etc because ive seen quite a few.....BUT NEVER GAME BREAKING!!! The gameplay itself is smooth and easy to get the hang of without confusion; If you like games that require you to go at it again and again, improving each time you go in and/or grinding for material to buy upgrades...then this is your game! BUT if you hate repetitiveness or that groundhog day feeling then do not play this (gotta be blunt. I want more people to play but i want the right people to play it and love it! and im sure itll come sooner or later.) With that being said....I like this game...its fun. I didnt pay for it, it was a gift but it was a very good gift at that and i look forward to continuing this game and hopefully the developers do some cool stuff with it in the future like events or etc, who knows.

ok waste of 20 euro bro dont buy this like youd expect it to save ur progress but you gotta start from the VERY start every time u die its really repetitive and theres barely any lore or backstory they just shoot u STRAIGHT into the game without a proper tutorial or anything - like they expect u to know wtf ur doing bro omg yeah idk . its a cool concept and stuff and the bosses are cool but its just really boring icl

If you're used to complicated games with tons of different abilities and attributes to remember, this may not be the game for you. However, if you're looking for a fun, rogue-lite game where you can find cool weapons in a quick run, Storm Lancers is perfect. The achievements provide an interesting challenge and there is enough variety to keep me lancing through the storm.

Aggressively eh, doesn't live up to the animatics and just frustrating at times. Grappling hook upgrade poorly executed. There are better roguelikes out there.

If you want this game, only get it while it's on sale, after 100%-ing the game I can say with relative ease that it is not worth $20. That being said, it is a decently fun gameplay experience aside from the bugs making achievement hunting a total slog. I admit I had some skill issue moments that made the achievements to finish the game without taking any damage take far longer than it should have, but skill issue aside, the achievements were painful to get on account of several bugs, none of which proved game-breaking, but enough to result in me taking damage and having to restart the run, many times. The good: Fortunately, restarting runs wasn't particularly problematic because the combat and movement mechanics are very nice (with the exception of the elevator on level 4 where the game struggles to attach your character to a moving map tile which causes movement problems). The fighting is not particularly complicated, although there are techs to improve damage application and survival like anywhere else.
