It's No Man's Sky at home.

I prefer the pure exploration, discovery, desolation, and scale that this game provides over almost any other space game. The flight model is not obtuse, but the menus and maps took some getting used to. Well worth it. I do wish menus were more legible on the Deck but that's a seriously first world problem. Works perfectly on Proton and Machine.

This is a good game if you want inexpensive, peaceful (no weapons in the game), simple, exploration with a mystery you can get the answers to in time. I have not experienced any bugs in over 10 hours of play. Personally, I mostly play this while charging my watch and winding down to go to bed. It's easy to get your money's worth at the rate of $1 of cost for every one hour of play. I made it at full cost and currently it's on sale at 50% off.

Relaxing and rather simple space exploration game.

Think lo-fi No Man's Sky, focused entirely on exploring a galaxy so big you'll only ever see statistically-average-speaking, none of it. The good: it's very chill. I can't imagine you'd run out of life support or fuel unless you dedicated hours of going comically out of your way to do so. There are emergent moments of right place, right time where the barren landscapes and lighting actually punch above their visual weight class. The bad: the planet-side rover driving is the main thing here. Feels like a prototype placeholder that never got replaced. The ugly: nature of the graphics means that outside right place, right time (or even acceptable place, acceptable time) planetside is frequently just ugly instead of charming, and will get very samey to boot. Also with the Space Engine inspiration, there's definite room for improvement in planetary and stellar visuals. The silly: the music is mostly absolutely hilarious mismatch to the actual chill vibes. Volume best zeroed out. It's got good bones if further developed!
