Taskbar Titans

This is a very fun and cute game. It is basically what it says on the tin - it's a side-scrolling pixelart RPG game with rogue elements....which runs across the bottom of your screen hence the name! The graphics look really cute - very old school creature design which I like as an old fella. You feel quite weak to start and you might not get very far before you die and reset but you'll eventually start picking up better gear via loot drops and, within a few runs you should make it to the store which lets you buy/sell your gear for gold. Eventually you'll be able to recruit a new member of your party and at that point you start to progress. With it being Early Access there are some bugs but nothing gamebreaking! The developer is very responsive on their Discord and is very open to suggestions for improvements. All in all it is well worth the price for an EA game. I would highly recommend.

still new seems fun but i have 3 monitors and no matter what i do it keeps going to my far left monitor my main monitor is middle ill do windowed mode to move it then in window mode i cant click anything go back to full screen then when hero dies and goews back home game goes back to my left monitor

While the game still has some bugs (it is early access), my overall impression is positive. Fun little game with minimal intrusion, and a choice of how active you want to be.

Nice idle game and interesting concept.

So a lot of these idle games can be played on the steam deck, this one cannot be at the time of this review. I couldn't even install it. Just putting that first, because I was a little bummed it didn't work on my deck. That being said, seems fine on PC besides small frustrations that'll hopefully be resolved as development continues. There's a very tiny hitbox to use your deity lightning, so that's annoying. However, I do like so much else about the game. I do wish I could turn off the giant letters that superimpose themselves over everything else when you swap areas. I guess I could turn off "always on top" but was hoping I could just turn the giant distracting announcements off since i multitask a lot. Looking forward to unlocking more party members and going further. Considering the price, especially with the current sale, it doesn't seem like a bad investment so far. Edit: Turns out currently making it not always on top makes it show up on a giant blue backdrop. It's very inconvenient, and ends up bugging the entire game visuals so you have to restart. I think I'll put this one down until after more development has happened, because that defeats the purpose of a desktop idle…
