TaVRn's Takedown - Naheulbeuk

Straightforward, chaotic, absurd fun. Smacking orcs in the head with pairs of bar stools, beating down goblins with tankards, and the occasional hammer blow to knock thugs into the ceiling. All very satisfying, all very fun, looking forward to exploring more of the world, and maybe getting a drink or two.

Fun but on the shorter side

A cheap and ugly Quest port - and controls are very mediocre too. No graphics options and only snap turning. Extremely low-end textures and polygon levels - pure phone VR. That said, the dynamic shadows do look nice. Very repetitive gameplay - and the 2D tutorial was just so incredibly bad. You can run the game on a potato though - I have no issues using Index res 500% with an RTX 3090 - that's 45 million pixels per frame combining both eyes - but phone VR never demanded much. Rating 1.5/5 - edit: my 14-year-old son does like the game, so I'm keeping the game, but for VR enthusiast I cannot recommed this game.

I'm having a great time with the game so far. I was expecting more of a basic VR beat em up like Path of the Warrior, but there is a bit more going on that helps the game have some depth. Each stage has a power-up at the start that changes things up quite a bit. There is also gear that can be equipped. This can give bonuses like reduced cooldown on dash or higher weapon damage. My only ask for the devs... I wish the smooth turning speed was slightly quicker. It is a little slower than I'd prefer even at max sensitivity. I have a limited amount of space when I'm on PCVR and prefer not to physically turn too much when playing (gotta avoid smacking stuff).

Plays pretty well. Gonna jump back in pretty soon. I will say all beat em ups VR or not should have co-op. It's just better that way
