The Abyssal Maze is a survival horror experience that embraces a straightforward but effective concept: place the player inside a hostile labyrinth, remove any sense of security, and force them to find a way out while being relentlessly stalked by terrifying creatures. Developed and published by AbyssalEdgeStudios, the game centers on a world consumed by darkness where humanity has been transformed into monstrous beings. According to the game's premise, three ancient books hidden deep within a cursed maze may hold the key to ending the catastrophe, making the player's journey not only a fight for survival but also a desperate mission to save what remains of civilization. Even next to games like Slender and Baldi's Basics (which both share a similar gameplay structure to this game), Abyssal Maze comes off as extremely directionless. I'd pin part of that on the fact that the maze itself is a giant nothingburger in every …
