About The Balloonist: Beyond the Clouds.
The balloonist is a single player, 3D, exploration game. Where you build and expand upon a balloon. As you fly trough the air from island to island.
Currently there is no story mode nor ending to the game.
At the beginning of the game you start out by rebuilding your balloon with the parts you find near your crashed balloon.
Then by use off gas you can ignite the burner and take of. (by using termaldynamic system)
While flying and being pushed by the wind you can try and land on islands that float all around you.
On these islands you can find more building parts to expands upon your flying creation.
But be careful for at night creatures comes out that can harm you can fend them off with your trusted double barrelled flintlock pistol
In game items includes: Floor, Railings, Walls, Stairs, Chests, Propellers. controller block, gas bottles small medium and big, balloon base , Slow medium and fast burners, flintlock pistol

"Due to limited budgets we are Releasing the Game in this early state" Very early and very rough. You do however get the idea of what it is about. You pretty much get what you see in the video now, and there is a tutorial when you start. It works on Linux but only in windowed mode becuase of the Unity bug. I was not able to get it in fullscreen after starting it. It's worth the price as long as it keeps growing. The dev seems to be honest about expectations and that's important in my world. I actually think this could be a game for kids too since it is kinda easy to get started and understand, but it needs more content ofc.10 found this helpful

I few years ago I played a game jam game called The Aurora Wager (find it over at: https://blog.volo-airsport.com/download-the-aurora-wager/) which was a hot air balloon flying game. Ever since I've been looking for a game that takes the idea to the next level and it looks like this is it. Being able to build your own balloon is a lot of fun and all the pieces you get to play with fit together very nicely. Once you get a feel for how a balloon controlls the movement is very fun and the feeling of successfully landing on an island is very satisfying. I wish I could just say wonderfull things about this game but for the sake of fairness I can't do that. The Balloonist is still clearly in a very early state and it does show. Many of the objects are mising proper models. The combat is very simple and the lack of a endgoal hurt the experience. (I will be posting on the discussion page about some of the bugs and suggestions if you wish to read more on that) With all that said I played for a solid six hours in my first session and it was a lot of fun once I got going. good game - as in the trailer just need to implement navigation system and resource gathering
