Detective Jack Foster rejoins the police department after a traumatic incident to take over the investigation of what appears to be mere political blackmail. Soon, however, he's faced with the discovery of a gruesome ritual murder that took place in a sealed room, from which no one could have gotten in or out without being seen. Along with his new partner, Harvey Whitman, an expert on cults, Foster dives deep into the shadows of the city of Arkham.The case will get even darker when they find out it is related to three witches that escaped the Salem trials in 1693, and a conspiracy that could put an end to the world as we know it.

Greeat story and amazing use of the classic point an click adventure game play elements. The game doesn't shy away from some graphic material without being over the top. Solid game and well worth the time for anyone looking for a fun little adventure game that fires up the nostalgia.

On the easy side, but lovely nonetheless
Great art, but the writing fell off hard after the first [spoiler]witch[/spoiler]. I really enjoyed that part of the game, but it felt like the effort was minimal from that point onward. Did not care for the 'survey class' tour of Lovecraft the game takes us on. I would have much preferred a focused experience instead of the shallow grab bag this story turned into. I can tell a lot of love went into the art, but I don't think the writer did more than acknowledge his inspirations and vaguely gesture at unbaked social commentary.
Reasonably sized, funny, gruesome and Lovecraftian ... maybe a bit too easy, but I enjoyed it immensely.
This was way better than I expected it to be. The demo had me skeptical given some repeititve, bland writing in the initial scenes... but I went ahead anyway after reading so many positive reviews. The artwork is impressive and only twice did I need to reach out to find hints at puzzles I was stuck on. I'd wish for a longer game, simply because the gameplay loop was so intriguing, but the low price makes it a comfortable balance.
