About THE DARUMA CHALLENGE
THE HARDEST GAME OF 2025? PROVE ME WRONG.
Think you’re patient? Think you’re skilled? This game will break you. One misstep, and you’re tumbling back down. Again. And again. And again. In THE DARUMA CHALLENGE, you don’t jump—you bounce. Every surface is both an opportunity and a trap. Master the momentum or lose everything. A precision platformer designed to punish hesitation, crush overconfidence, and reward only the most determined.CAN YOU REACH THE TOP?
- Brutal, physics-based bouncing movement – easy to learn, painful to master.
- NO shortcuts. NO hand-holding. NO easy mode.
- Checkpoints? A well-deserved relief… but only in Normal Mode.
- Time Attack Mode? No checkpoints. No mercy. A nightmare for speedrunners.
- Secrets & hidden paths? Only for those clever (or stubborn) enough to find them.
99% WILL FAIL. WILL YOU?
Inspired by the Daruma doll’s mantra—“Fall down seven times, stand up eight.”—this game was built for those who refuse to quit. Most players won’t make it to the end. Some won’t even survive the first few jumps. But a few? They’ll embrace the suffering, push through the pain, and conquer the impossible. If you rage easily, turn back now. This game was crafted by a solo developer with care, but not kindness. Every challenge, every detail—designed to push you to the limit. The Daruma always gets back up. Will you? What Steam players say

A very enjoyable, bouncing game! Very easy to learn and only the elite could master. Kept me occupied for quite sometime. The mechanics are good, very fluid movement and game play. The art and music compliment the style of the game and was the perfect amount of relaxation to stop me launching my keyboard out of the window. I've not given up, I will be playing this again to get my achievements for sure!1 found this helpful
Surprisingly Beautiful and Super Fun (and Hard!) The Daruma Challenge is a short but really beautiful climbing game. The art is stunning and peaceful, and the music fits perfectly. It's also hard lol. You’ll fall a lot, but every time you make it a little higher, it feels amazing. The controls are simple, but the game takes real skill and patience. It’s tough, but fair, and super satisfying when you finally get it right. If you like challenging games that look and sound great, this one’s definitely worth a try.1 found this helpful
Super Hard but VERY Sastifying1 found this helpful
Very solid and complete Foddian game. Controls are simple: Left & Right. (as you jump automatically) There are optional secrets to find and 3 major bonus areas that are harder then the normal path for added challenge and that shiny 100% trophy. Has a built-in speedrun feature with build-in splits to let you know your pace as it happens. It's all really solid and well made. The biomes are beautiful. The sound design is PERFECT. (so satisfying) 9/10 game. All it really needs is a 2nd map of higher difficulty, because after finishing it once. You will have the skill to complete it within 10-15 minutes. It will satisfy you as a perfect meal but leave you wanting more of it, because it's just that good <31 found this helpful
The Daruma Challenge is a pretty cool game, it has some difficult sections, but it's a fun platformer Foddian game. I enjoyed searching for the hidden Easter Eggs and Sanctuaries across the map. The Sanctuaries provided mini difficult puzzles alongside the main path for experienced players to attempt, which was nice. I like how there is a Time Attack mode which removes the checkpoints, it allows for an even harder challenge in the game. Overall, The Daruma Challenge is a perfect game for players that enjoy the Foddian Genre of games.1 found this helpful
