Nayuta has always dreamed of exploring beyond the horizon of his island home. After a fateful encounter with a fairy by the name of Noi, he and his friends find themselves whisked away on an adventure through multiple worlds in order to stop an evil plot that has been set in motion.
About
Nayuta spends his days gazing up at the stars above his island home and wondering what lies beyond the horizon. Though people claim the sea they live on is flat and finite, Nayuta knows there must be more out there, just waiting to be discovered.
Occasionally, ruins and stars will fall from the sky over Nayuta's home, offering what seem to be glimpses of other worlds. While exploring one such ruin, he and his friends save a small, fairy-like girl by the name of Noi. She tells Nayuta that something very important has been stolen from her and asks for his help in retrieving it.
It's with this that Nayuta's journey begins—one which will take him far beyond the confines of his island to experience new worlds and extraordinary discoveries!
Pros

In a boundless sea, this trail leads to Remnant Isle, a remote location where star fragments rain from above showing images of a a lost world
Independent tale seperated from the main Trails series, makes for a great entry game in experiencing Falcom's content without requiring the context from previous titles
First trails game that introduces ARPG instanced gameplay, movement and abilities are fluid and simple
Short and direct game with a sizeable endgame and NG+ incentive with additional quests and equipment to obtain
Universe of Nayuta (New Calendar world) has potential to be expanded on
Noi (Best Administrator)

Cons

Lyra screentime
Gameplay and story can feel repetitive and predictable as its same content loop across different seasons in same four continents
Achievement points are not used for carry over but rather for content/QOL unlocks (can be a con for some players)
It's nothing special but still enjoyable
After seeing some of the reviews here, I feel basically encline to say this game is a huge melting pot of Falcoms RPGs up to the PSP era. This is not a bad thing at all since there's at least one or two aspects from game of that era which this game adopts into itself while also being tasteful in how it does so. For me, I just generally like how much this reminds me of the Naphistm engine Ys games (When I got them back on a GOG deal ages ago, lol) but I also appreciate how much of Trails and (especially) Zwei played influence also with the characters and implementation of some mechanics. I will say the story itself isn't really anything mindblowing. You can probably assume what will happen after seeing what tension unfolds, but I think even in these moments it at least uses the characters and settings appropriately. By the last 3rd of the story I was surprised how much I was invested. Not to a gob smacked degree but I did get a little teary eye'd with how things unfolded. It is a Falcom game so by that metric I do feel music is important to bring up. Pretty solid though it does take awhile before some of the more expected tracks play. Might make the first two acts of the game see…
Fun Platform RPG game! Its a very classic PSP type of game. This game isn't really tied to the other trails series, but the story is good and love the music tune. I did need to take a break from time to time because each platform stages became a bit repetitive. :P
I started on the Nihon Falcon train recently and I haven't really found a bad game yet. This was yet another great action RPG from them.
