RPG Maker strikes again! The Long Journey to Farewell is one of hundreds of low effort retro-pixel RPG Maker asset/construction kit flips spamming the Steam catalog, made with the RPG Maker video game construction kit... in their own words, "Our easy to use tools are simple enough for a child." Like all RPG Maker "games", this is essentially a bunch of low quality/canned assets from RPG Maker coupled with a cringeworthy high school anime club fan fiction. The developer couldn't even be bothered finishing this RPG Maker asset flip, which is truly amazing. I guess we shouldn't be surprised, when people are too lazy to learn how to make games properly and they use the children's RPG Maker construction kit instead, we shouldn't expect them to find enough work ethic to actually do the whole job. So here's another abandoned RPG Maker asset flip infesting Steam. And it's square in the middle of what we expect from an RPG Maker asset flip, with the usual cringey high school anime club dropout fan-fiction writing, godawful map design, it's an incoherent mess. The character swapping to use multiple abilities in each interaction can be a bit frustrating. Otherwise it seems like a fun puzzle game. Definitely worth giving a try to see if it is your thing.

Very well made. Lots of strategy and puzzles. Great character stories and world development. Many features not seen in other games of its style. Unique and definitely worth the time.
