The Lost Myth unfolds in Ancaria, a land once rich with life and serenity, now ensnared in a long-standing cold war known as the Pax Mendax between the Holy Empire of Graecia and the Kingdom of Valgus, the two most powerful forces on the continent.

But this "false peace" is about to crumble, reigniting the flames of conflict. As the world teeters on the brink of war, the paths of the protagonists will intersect, forcing them to confront their destinies together and fight for survival.

As the story progresses, they will uncover "The Truth", revealing how all the pieces of this compelling narrative come together.

• Yvaine: A young alchemist from the enoshi race, Yvaine blends agility with prowess in both physical and magical combat. Armed with a bow, she wields ice magic and can craft useful items mid-battle, thanks to her alchemical skills.
  
• Kris: A mysterious mage whose dark magic strikes fear into enemies. Kris specializes in devastating dark spells and manipulating foes with altered states. Though he wields a staff, his physical strength is limited, making him a powerful but fragile caster.
