The Mare is a unique fast-paced gripping horror game that mixes classic ghost story with a nerve-wracking horror experience. Prey that you will survive the evil forces that lurks in the shadows of this grand mansion. Move carefully, and hide when you can. Run as fast as you can, but for all the world don't get caught.
Play as a young boy trapped in an old mansion. In the game you can navigate through many of the rooms and corridors in the house, while trying to find clues and objects that are needed for the story to progress.
Use stealth to avoid drawing attention from enemies. If necessary, hide under tables, beds or inside wardrobes. You can even use an old radio receiver that reveals the enemy's location.

Game doesn't have resolution change options under the Video settings, so it messes up my OBS window and when i stream it, the game shows very small on stream/obs. Most indie games have resolutions settings, too bad this one doesn't makes it trickier.1 found this helpful
The Mare of Jonah was a good game for this first time developer. Excellent use of music choices to set the mood. You do get some backstory by reading the notes but it could have delved deeper to flesh out more of a story line. While you will be hiding at the beginning you will be more often running for your life afraid to look at what is behind you. As you run through this nightmare you will bring together photos of your past so you can unlock a way to your present reality. There was a really missed opportunity to detail the photos you collected so that you understood a clearer picture about your past. This would have added so much more to the game. It's a fun one hour romp if you can get it cheap and it feels very much like this could be the first chapter in a series of The Mare. Will we see a sequel? Only time will tell....1 found this helpful
I hate to be "that guy" but I didn't like this game as much as I was expecting. At first, I was surprised to see that this game only has 12 review, which is an extremely low number. But now I think I understand why. This game basically consist on the player being chased all the time, which is not terrible, but it also became very boring. It wasn't scary enough either, and there wasn't a great story to keep me interested either. It also sucks that you cannot change the resolution, gamma, V-Sync, or frame-rate in the settings; there is none of that. Well, at least I tried to like it, and I can say that I actually finished the game. But sadly, I just didn't like it.1 found this helpful
GAME HANTU MASAM SAKIT HATI JE MAIN ARGHHH MALAS
Was really looking forward to playing this game on stream tonight but I can't get past the title screen. It's all blurry and I cant click anything. The graphics settings are to the right and i can't click anything to continue. I saw someone else had a similar problem. My pc hardware is top notch and it's frustrating not being able to play. Any help would be much appreciated
