The Men of Yoshiwara: Ohgiya

i'm only at one route left, and considering the low expectations I had, the game is actually somewhat enjoyable. I always love reading steamy or hot otome games, so this one is worth trying if you’re also running out of otome backlog. Just be aware that the story can get a little dark.

Playing another Dogenzaka game and I will say it again. I love Dogenzaka games!! (I cant help i'm deranged) I played Men of Yoshiwara: Kikuya last week and I'm gonna compare the two. First things first I loved both Kikuya and Ohgiya they both have there own mood settings and amazing characters. Kikuya was more Comical and light (still had its dark moments). Ohgiya is definitely the more dark side of Yoshiwara. They have both become favorites for me, I really enjoyed the series. The Good: 1. The art improved from the first game, it's very pretty. 2. I was really happy some of the old characters from Kikuya showed up, Its not required to play Kikuya but some events and characters from that game show up in Ohgiya and it was nice to see it flow together (I loved Kikuya so I was happy to see the old characters... I didn't see Iroha so maybe his ending was actually canon from the last game). 3. The Characters are well developed and really in depth I enjoyed everyone's route. 4. Music is still pleasant and nice. 5. I liked seeing the new locations and an MC from a different life then the MC from Kikuya (Ohigiya MC = Rich. Kikuya MC = Poor). The Bad: 1. Each route is pretty short but the overall story is well-written. I like the art and all characters. But how Musashi doesn't have a route of his own?... It pained me every time seeing him holding back his love for MC. Please add Musashi route too!!!

its a good read! I chose Utsusemi as my first interest and was not disappointed. The CG's are very lovely and the flirtation is quite endearing. my only gripe with the game is that the 'Spicy" scenes are rather tame compared to what was advertised. not bad but i wanted to see his peen. alas. 💮🌸💮 I really liked this, honestly. I wasn’t expecting anything amazing, especially given how cheap it was on sale but I was genuinely surprised by how much I enjoyed the story. It’s definitely a matter of personal taste, and this kind of genre is exactly what I’ve been looking for. The scenes played out just how I imagined they would. So far, I got Asagiri’s “super happy” ending, and while I did enjoy it, I can’t deny something still feels a little off. Like others have mentioned, I’m not a big fan of him continuing to take on clients when we’re clearly a thing now. But I get it—it’s his job, and in a way, he’s doing it for you, to help you rebuild your shop. Still, it leaves a bittersweet taste. This is a nice little game if you’re in the mood for something cute and light perfect if you want a quick romance without heavy drama or complicated mechanics. I’d definitely recommend picking it up during a sale; it’s a cozy experience worth the price. 💮🌸💮
