The mysterious ship（诡船谜案）

The mysterious ship kind of sucks and is a bad port of an Android iOS game, but what’s the story. A detective goes on a mysterious ship and tries to solve the mystery on what happened on it. The good, well the mystery was okay kind of easy to figure out, but okay. The art for the game was good. The soundtrack was good. And lastly there is a walkthrough that’s in game to help with the puzzles witch is good. The bad, well first off this game has no story, what I mean about that is you see this was once an Android iOS game and when I was looking up a walkthrough there were little cutscenes were you find out the main character’s name. And when you played the game if you clicked on something there was a text box, but in this port of the game there is no text box. And a lot of the puzzles in the game sucked, but like I said there is a walkthrough in game to help you, but when you get to the captain’s room the walkthrough ends there. So with that said The mysterious ship kind of sucks and is a bad port of an Android iOS game, so I say don’t get this game.

This is a puzzle game in which you solve the mistery of a ship's crew that has been murdered. The atmosphere is very nice and dark but not in a horror way. You feel to be alone on this ship surrounded by puzzles of its former inhabitants. The English localisation is a bit rough, but the game does not rely on texts. It also has hints if you don't want to solve every puzzle yourself. Beware of the torn pages, I had mine disappear when I tried to combine them while I hadn't obtained all three of them. That is the only bug I experienced. It is a nice small game.

A fair amount of work has gone into this game. Quite nice graphics, good but simple concept and some reasonably good puzzles. Basically, you are alone on a ship that is littered with dead bodies and you need to find out how they all died. Sadly, the English version suffered from a few problems due to the translation from Chinese (?). E.g. the text overlapping with the graphics in some of the pages of the books and I believe it also might be missing dialogue that is in the original version (although I didn't feel I missed anything). I had to refer to the in-game walk-through a fair amount and sadly, my version ran out about 5 pages before the end (another translation problem perhaps) but I found a walk-though on-line that had all of it so I did manage to complete the game. I think my main problem was getting about on the ship because it wasn't always intuitive and I don't have much patience for wandering round looking for the right doorway when they all look so alike. There was a bug which others have mentioned whereby you collect 3 torn bits of a piece of paper which you have to combine and which is essential to moving forward in the game.
