About The Night Christmas Ended
Why the game is free
This was the first game we ever made, so we were inexperienced, but we’re still proud of what we created, despite its flaws. That’s why we decided to make the game free—so anyone who’s curious can give it a try. We’re now called Professional Villains and have learned a lot since making this game. We hope you’ll check out our other titles, such as Security: The Horrible Nights, Anglerfish, or The ER: Patient Typhon. 😊
- John & Maria
Get into the Christmas spirit with the world’s biggest goblin in a blast from the past, 2D arcade shoot 'em up. Fight evil pet pinetrees from Siberia. Air-battle on a deadly pooping Rudolf. Float around in space and much much more crazy stuff.
"If you’re after a festive, arcade shooter that truly challenges all that play, then look no future than The Night Christmas Ended. It’s cheaper than a selection box, it’s fun to play and it’s easy to get the hang of it, and its ludicrous characters, daft plot and foul language makes it a game that really has to be seen to be believed."

- Play through the whole adventure locally with a friend
- Unique weapons and power-ups (like shots that grow and shrink)
- The Giant Goblin will comment on if he thinks you control him well or badly
- Shoot an innocent bird just because you are a jerk
- Don’t forget the deadly pooping reindeer

The Night Christmas Ended is a sincerely, if badly made 2D retro pixel arcade shooter with a Christmas theme. Control a goblin who can only shoot at 45 degree angles on a single screen side view arena as various enemies fall from the sky and bounce from the sides to try kill you. Thankfully your bullets bounce off the walls and ceiling, this helps to counter the limited firing angles you get. It's a very simple, shallow experience. The only shining light in the gloom of mediocrity in this game is the mediocre amateur voice acting liberally seeded through the game, which, while averagely delivered, is at least kind of funny. But if I wanted funny, I'd watch a Bill Hicks standup or something. Most people don't get their yuks from 2D retro pixel arcade shooters. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. A choice was made to use obsolete, decades old retro pixel "art" as a substitute for contemporary PC graphics. It's unclear if this is due to lack of budget or talent, regardless, the overall visual quality of the game is extremely low as a result. There's no options to change the resolution for the …3 found this helpful
The most non-PC game I ever played... An I loved it! hahaha Get ready for quirky humor, good jokes and fast gameplay. The voice acting is super good and a great amount of story told. Be aware: Possible betrayal in the end...?1 found this helpful
Prepare for an experience filled with eccentric humor, clever jokes, and rapid gameplay. The voice acting is exceptional, accompanied by a substantial narrative. Be forewarned: there may be a twist of betrayal at the conclusion. In this memorable 2D adventure, you will collaborate with the Giant Goblin to rescue Christmas. Engage in combat against malevolent candy, as the only acceptable candy is that which is vanquished, even if it resembles a bat. - Enjoy epic Christmas-themed music! - Experience the thrill of acquiring a power-up that causes your foes to explode into countless fragments, obscuring your view. It is an exhilarating sensation. - Appreciate the game's diverse mechanics and variations. - Engage in a death match against a mischievous elf, which is both bizarre and entertaining. - Enjoy the freedom to select your own ending. Drawbacks: - The game does contain minor glitches, most of which are not significantly detrimental. However, on the third level of the third world, there was a notable issue where the game continued for 15 seconds beyond the intended conclusion. During this time, I became invisible and was vulnerable to attacks. - The segment where you fly on Ru…
Full review at: https://thegamehoard.com/2022/12/24/the-night-christmas-ended-pc/ The Night Christmas Ended feels like the kind of game you get more for its personality, the vulgar jokes and sarcastic attitude a fine fit for people wanting something less saccharine around the holidays. Its shooting is serviceable even if the adventure is short, getting both silver and gold medals in each stage didn’t even lead to me hitting three hours, but it’s at least a quick and sometimes inventive shooter even if it’s more interested in changing the mold rather than refining its gameplay styles. Your Christmas game time will probably be merrier with a more polished shooter, but if you want something seasonally appropriate, this game about a snarky goblin swearing and making lewd propositions is only as off-putting as it wants to be.
This game is hilarious. The characters personalities are funny and the stories joke is just the best. It's really awesome as well with the amount of chaos going on while I'm having to time shots accurately. Would recommend this game.
