Simple and fun game. It can be easily beaten in about an hour. Some of the later rooms became easier to solve than the previous ones. A walkthrough shouldn't be required as most puzzles are quick and easy for most people to solve on their own, just know that some rooms have specific steps or orders of events you must first trigger in order to proceed. Some of the game was a little dark but I didn't have any issue with my lanterns going out. I guess I was too quick at solving the rooms. I noticed you would be given multiple candles or lighters and batteries, however I never had to reload any of my lighting devices. There is also no battery or fuel bar to signify that it does run out. I guess other players took a bit longer and ran out of energy for their light source. A UI element to show the time remaining on the candles / batteries would be nice. I'm glad I got the game on sale for $5 at 50% off, because I don't feel the game is long enough to warrant a $10 price tag. There isn't much replay ability to the game either. Once you beat it there is nothing new to explore. No collectibles to find and the puzzles don't seem to change.
There were some elements that seemed off, some glitches as well. Puzzles ranged from very easy to super hard. The storyline was nice. The last room seemed far too easy. However, maybe that was to give a bit of relief. I enjoyed it.
2nd time I've tried to get through this game. Why isn't there a walk through somewhere?
This was a lot of fun until room 5. None of the puzzles were interactive. I see another reviewer commented similarly nearly a year ago. I suppose this was never addressed/fixed.
I honestly wish there were more clues to at least help you identify what type of puzzle you are doing, but figuring it out on your own is also very rewarding considering you start with little to no direction lol. This game is definitely a brain teaser.
Don't waste your money. This game runs into a wall in the third(?) puzzle. I normally love these types of games but I rage quit after about two hours of exploring every inch of every room looking for a clue to help move forward. There are no tips or hints available in game and there is no help available online. Save your money, buy something better.
