Time Carnage VR is a virtual reality action shooter developed and published by Wales Interactive that embraces the pure thrill of arcade-style survival gameplay. Built around the concept of traveling through different eras of time, the game places players in dangerous environments overrun by a variety of hostile creatures ranging from flesh-hungry zombies to prehistoric dinosaurs, oversized insects, and futuristic machines. Rather than focusing on a complex story, the experience centers on constant action, encouraging players to rely on quick reflexes, strategic weapon usage, and endurance as increasingly aggressive enemy waves flood the battlefield. One of the game's strongest features is its creative approach to combat. Players are equipped with an extensive arsenal that includes pistols, shotguns, assault rifles, explosive weapons, and more unconventional tools of destruction. The title introduces a distinctive weapon-swapping mechanic in place of traditional reloading, forcing players to continuously cycle through multiple firearms while under pressure. This system creates a frantic rhythm that feels particularly effective in virtual reality, where physically aiming, switching…

I can recommend it at a heavy discount, like the current 3$. It's a really nice wave shooter that looks and plays well and is really comfortable to play sitting down in a chair with arms. I played it as a 15-30 minute warmup in every VR session before turning to something more serious for 2 weeks or so and I enjoyed it, but I won't be returning to it. All in all an enjoyable experience, a good way to waste at least 6 hours for 5$ or so.

This game was released almost 10 years ago - at the start of the VR trend, really - and it shows. If you're SUPER into these kinds of VR games, watch the gameplay, and get it at a bargain bin discount, then yeah maybe it's worth a buy. This one...didn't grab me in the way I had hoped it would.

Great looking wave shooter with varied but "repetitive" enemies despite the variety, but honestly, great looking maps. The game consists in you going back in time to 4 different Eras, and shooting a bunch of enemies that come at you to fix some time paradox or something. For the shooting part you get to choose 4 weapons to take with you, these appear in a pedestal where you grab them, when needed, and to reload you just let them go, they return to the pedestal and start reloading. You increase your arsenal by passing levels and Eras, each time you complete one, you unlock a new weapons. They are all 1 handed, so you Akimbo every weapon, yes even snipers and shotguns. Each Era consist of 4 different levels, so 16 levels total, each level in the campaing has 10 waves (checkpoint every 2 levels) each level can be cleared in ~30min, so ~8hrs just for the Campaign? Levels look incredibly good, like really really good i dont know if its because i expected them to look cheap that made me so impressed, but yeah, they look nice. Enemy models also look great, sound sfx and voices are well done, performance was great too. Biggest and probably only issue, is that enemies feel very repeti…
