About Tiny Life
Tiny Life is a fun simulation game that aims to capture the essence of games like The Sims series, but in an isometric pixelart style.
In the game, you control a set of people that live together in a household. You take care of their daily needs, build their skills, forge new relationships... or just mess up their entire life in whatever way you can think of!
Create
- Create your own characters with unique personalities and skills
- With over 100 clothing items and thousands of colors available, create your Tinies exactly how you want
- Choose from different age groups, each with their own unique interactions and gameplay
Build
- Build houses and community spaces like parks and cafés and watch households inhabit them
- Pick from hundreds of furniture items, wallpapers, tiles, roofs and more to make each building unique
- Choose items wisely to maximize skill and need gain for your Tinies, but minimize the lot's final price
Interact
- Control your household and tell your characters what to do
- Choose from many complex skills, like cooking, painting, programming, woodworking and more
- With multiple members in your household, let the AI manage your unattended Tinies for you
Build Relationships
- Have your characters interact, build relationships, grow families and live unique lives
- Explore multiple public and residential lots in the vast open world
- Control multiple households in one save file to play out your own story

- Share your creations with the community by exporting lots and households from your game
- Use the Steam Workshop integration to easily upload and download custom content

I have a few hours of playtime now, and I've owned the game for a few years. I honestly would not recommend it as a competitor to other life sims in it's current state. Here's my honest review of it while being an active member of it's community for the past couple of years. PROS - You can run this bad boy on a microwave -Lots of inclusivity for POC and lgbtq+ Identities - Soft and cozy artwork and sound track, very solid cozy game in general CONS - Going back into the inclusivity thing, this game lacks body types and masc or fem frames. It almost feels like it was meant to cater to one kind of audience. It makes every character feel... the same, which I'm sure is the opposite effect the dev was hoping for. If I made a cis woman, I want her to look like a cis woman. People have curves, people have broad chests, people are skinny, people are chunkier. Body representation is NOT included in this game. Which is kind of ironic. - The game is extremely bare bones and dull due to a lack of development. There's no intriguing gameplay, no marriage, no events, no interesting public lots, not a lot of build mode objects, etc. as was promised in the road map YEARS ago. An amazing replacement for the Sims tbh. I've been trying to find one for ages now, especially since EA's recent bs, and this has been SUCH a balm to the soul omggg ! [h3] Achievement-hunting-friendly ✓[/h3] [h3] What you see is what you get ✓[/h3] [h3] Indie Dev ✓[/h3] I won this game in a small giveaway and couldn't believe I'd never heard of this gem before! I'm really enjoying it so far. Even though the pixel art is very simple (which normally isn't my preference) I absolutely love the overall presentation here. The music is great, the developer is a lovely person, and the gameplay is simple yet surprisingly engaging. Considering the game is still in Early Access and not finished yet, it's already a lot of fun. It's always mind-blowing to see what a single developer can accomplish. I'm excited to see how this game evolves, and I can definitely recommend giving it a try!
