About Titan Outpost

It is the year 2077. Earth is slowly dying and starving for energy, and humanity has turned to the solar system to meet its ever-growing needs. The Moon has been plundered; the Chinese have begun to colonise Mars, and now the world has set its eyes on hydrocarbon-rich Titan, Saturn's sixth moon. Your employers, the International Autonomous Space Association, are desperate to claim it before the Chinese can. On frosty Titan, this war will be very cold indeed.

Key Features

 • A hard science fiction setting inspired by Robert Heinlein, Arthur C. Clarke, Isaac Asimov and Stanislaw Lem.
 • An open-ended structure in which your choices define not only the course of the plot, but the fate of the world.
 • A rich character-creation system, in which you define your character's attributes and develop his or her skills and gear over the course of the game.
 • A robust base-building system, in which you must manage your crew, resources, and facilities to survive the harsh environment and your political rivals.
 • Multiple approaches to the game's challenges: dialogue; crafting; exploration; trade; and violence are all viable ways to win.
 • A rich and reactive story full of mysteries, twists, and memorable characters.

This game really captures the 70s vibe of science fiction. For a one-person development studio, it's an outstanding achievement in terms of character design, storytelling, and immersion. I can highly recommend this gem to any SF lover from the era of Asimov and Lem. Player decisions are really well integrated. There are a few minor bugs, but they are not game-breaking and can be mitigated thanks to the continuous autosave feature (e.g., when exploring some spots, the character is beamed out of the map at the edge of the map and cannot return, requiring the game to be reloaded – this is less helpful for permadeath settings, so I would not recommend this mode). I give it a definite thumbs up and am already looking forward to the sequel from the same universe, The Jovian System , and hope for even more lore from these stories.

A very intriguing game that pulls you in with its well thought through gameplay, systems and story. It may take 10-20 mins to get used to the way its played, but it is captivating nonetheless, and well worth a look for its price tag. It rewards thought, and is a lot of fun when played almost as a role playing game. It took me about 20 mins of real world gameplay to freeze to death, but thats through getting used to gameplay mechanics. Once you know what youre doing, its pretty straightforward, although i havent progressed very far into it though. Oh yes, I almost forgot, the main screen has the mother of all earworm soundtracks ;) 100% recommend and nice work dev!

The game is a little clunky at some points, but I can definitely see the passion that the developer has put into this project. Wonderful atmosphere and writing, and I'm super excited for the next game!
