Transport Legion is a compact but surprisingly layered strategy experience that combines tower defense, deckbuilding, resource management, roguelike variability, and turn-based tactical planning. Developed and published by 喜人一个, the game distinguishes itself by placing logistics at the heart of its defensive gameplay. Instead of simply constructing powerful towers and waiting for enemies to enter their range, players must establish an economy capable of producing and transporting the resources required to keep their settlement functioning. The result is a game where winning depends just as much on efficient infrastructure as it does on military strength. The transportation system is the feature that gives Transport Legion its strongest identity. Resources do not magically become available wherever they are needed. Production buildings, transportation routes, defensive structures, and other facilities form an interconnected network, so poorly planned infrastructure can create serious problems later in a run. Rating after 44 hours of play and defeating the game with all 9 families in both Easy and Normal level of difficulty: 9.5/10. Tower defense must be the most divisive game category for me - many of the games in the genre bore the pants off of me, while there are a few that are amongst my favourite video games of all time (Thronefall and Bad North: Jotunn Edition)! This one falls into the latter category. It takes a common genre but builds it out with some very interesting mechanisms, including resource management, card management, utilizing the terrain, and deck building. The preparation for each wave requires a surprising amount of tactical thinking, while the deck construction between levels needs more strategic planning, all without being too onerous and fiddly. This is a nearly perfect game for board game fans such as myself! What keeps it just short of perfection is the fact that, even with all the experience I now have with the game, I can't for the life of me win with any of the families on Hard level difficulty, and Hard isn't even the game's highest difficulty level! I really don't know what it takes to win the game on anything higher than Normal difficulty, but it does …

Good game for a good price. If you like small rouge-like games, you should try this. The main focus is on resource management. Downside is, once you understand the mechanics, the game is not very challenging, even in winter. Some starter units are strong enough to win you a game from start to finish.
