Drops mouse inputs randomly. Sometimes left click shoots, sometimes it doesn't. Same with right click. Also, if you have a controller plugged in, it'll fight with your M/KB for prompt displays. I dunno man, FEAR exists already, I don't want to have to deal with troubleshooting issues like this on default settings. Gunplay felt a bit wimpy/light and sound design was off in the ~20 minutes I played. Also, ragdoll physics were certainly not the best. If you *don't* have this mouse issue it's probably worth it at 75% off (even considering the relatively low amount of content and high number of gimmick levels, which I know about from seeing a walkthrough years ago), but to me, it's not worth the trouble.

Game is good, has a decent story, fun mechanics including sliding and dropkicking and slow time. Not many guns though but, has a stealth system and shotgun is very op and fun to use also quite gory. Also runs well on low end systems could play the game with 60 to 55 fps at max settings w/ laptop 3050 GPU.

It was initially my ambition to eventually attempt a Rage Mode difficulty run of this, but having played through almost three campaign missions on Extreme I think I’ll bow off. There’s nothing wrong with [i]Trepang2[/i] per se, but it’s just a linear shooting gallery with – granted – really satisfying gunplay and cat-and-mouse combat dynamics (at least, it’s cat-and-mouse where an arena allows it, and it’s not a corridor) empowered by bullet-time and [i]Crysis[/i]-like camouflage. The main reason I fail to find incentive to persist is the dodge-slide. You can basically dodge everything – either by sliding out of danger or by sliding around the target. And it sends enemies tumbling like bowling pins. They would be much better off limiting it the way indie shooters like [i]Selaco[/i] or [i]Cultic[/i] do it – by putting it on some sort of cooldown. I’m sure I’d find plenty of challenge down the road and would be killed many times upon many times, but the triviality of dodge-sliding combined with the OP nature of both camo and bullet-time – and the completely traversable arenas – will be nagging, so no. Besides, aesthetically, this has very little going for it, being a Spartan 3D p…
