Caveat: I did not play the game very long so if some of what I say changes and opens up later, my bad. Frankly, I just wanted to refund the game after playing 4 runs. I got the feeling I was playing a free Browser Flash game from the 2000's. Very little to this game from what I saw. No RPG elements (no way to modify/equip/customize) and the rogue like elements are extremely basic. You level up very slowly so if you're used to fast paced rogue likes where you feel like a God by the end of a level (or deep in endless) you won't get that here. Plus the level ups just allow your characters to first unlock their unique skill (so that's the first 3 minutes of each run, getting their skills), then upgrade their skill (predetermined upgrades, no variation) or heal or take gold that's used outside the battle for lasting buffs. Those are the only upgrades I saw pop up...no builds to work towards like most rogue likes where you may build a DOT run, a crit run, a lifesteal run, a tanky/thorns run, nah. You just pick the same upgrades every run to get the same, singular unique skill each hero has. When you replay a level, you have to sit through the (short) dialogue plot even though it's mea…

An interesting take on the "Survivor" genre. Having three characters each with their own stats and upgrades all taking the same shared resource makes for fresh-feeling decisions. Having to position and keep track of where the three are at all time is also something that trains your spacial awareness more than other entries in this genre I've been able to play. Compliments stop here. The game is far to simplistic and underdeveloped. Each "role" has three characters, each with a linear upgrade path stopping at tier 5. No items, no builds beyond character selection, and a roguelite perk system that stops at number increases. The game's demands in terms of mechanical or tactical skill begins and ends at rotating and expanding a triangle. I have not looked at the game's developers but to me this feels like an eager teen's admittedly very well-made first amateur project, not anything beyond that. A proof of concept. Perhaps an early access. Note: The achievements also feel very "made by teens." There are way too many hollow achievements it feels like a "more is better" type of approach. That and the dialogues are what makes me believe the team is either young or immature. Not that it i…

Interesting take on the genre, where positioning and gameplay matters much more than the average survivors-like. I'd give it around 4 stars out of five. The game respects your time pretty well, and most of the game can be beaten without grinding out meta progression in favor of skillful positioning and understanding the boss mechanics. The game's balance starts off pretty fair, but gets to be tedious on the later levels. There's hordes of extremely tanky enemies that will forcibly change your position, or immediately shoot their projectile, or charge you from off screen. Even at maxed out character skills, I still had significant problem clearing them in a reasonable time frame. The upgrades are interesting the first time around, but because of the forced team composition, I found that there weren't really great ways to synergize your actual team comp. I would've much preferred dropping a tank in favor of another DPS, which felt like it fell behind quickly. Speaking of, the attack range on every tank should probably be 2-3x what it is. Almost every melee enemy had much higher range than all of the available tanks. Each level does feel reasonably distinct, but the game is on…

So far, each hero has one skill and on level up you just select which one gets the upgrade. Tank has spin-to-win, mage has rng meteor and healer has starburst heal/leach. I believe you are supposed to grind the meta progression to progress in levels (+5% to this or that). I see in the other reviews they say you have to play longer for it to be fun. Nah, this time of game should be fun from the start.

A twist on the survivors-like genre, where you're controlling a tank, healer and DPS at the same time, and you unlock new heroes as you progress. Has a light story line to it and an Endless Mode that provides replay value.
