Twilight Parade: Moonlit Mononoke is a side-scrolling bullethell SHMUP where beautiful yokai girls will fly through 5 yokai-infested levels celebrating the Hyakki Yagyō, the night parade of the hundred yokai. Fly, shoot, dodge. Put an end to their party!Every year yokai take to the streets to party at the Hyakki Yagyō, the night parade of the hundred yokai. But this year they didn't invite the oni twins because they're too rowdy, so they're going to ruin the party! Face hordes of yokai in this side-scrolling shmup and let's END THE PARTY!

Composed of five stages, it’s designed to be accessible rather than overwhelming, offering the casual charm of an arcade experience. There are several aspects that could be improved—attack patterns, the mid-stage slot-machine event, and the placement of the hitbox—but these remain points for future refinement. The greatest highlight lies in its pixel-art visuals, condensing the festival’s heat and nocturnal atmosphere into vivid motion that feels pleasant to simply watch. Though brief, it’s an STG filled with both cuteness and mystique, allowing players to fully enjoy the artistry of pixel graphics. Solid bullet hell-ish shmup, more on the "pick a spot and gently sway back and forth" end of the spectrum than frantically weaving, so quite beginner friendly. Lovely art and music, thoroughly recommended8 found this helpful
