Umbra Mortis

final stage enemy count can be overwhelming, mostly for the game itself. too many clowns spawn in, and they cant really move from eachother. really needs a fov slider and rebind option for controls. honestly not bad for a uni project. i like the style too.

Umbra Mortis is a really fun little co op shooter that immediately caught my attention with its bizarre combination of religious imagery, carnival horror and undead enemies. I play as a member of a secret organization sent into a corrupted version of Venice, and I liked how quickly the game gets me into the action. The setting feels much more memorable than the usual abandoned military base or generic zombie city. The shooting is straightforward but satisfying. I move through the streets, blast through waves of undead carnival goers and use a mixture of rifles, explosives and a powerful blessed artifact to keep myself alive. I liked the weapon variety because each option feels useful in different situations, especially when larger or more resilient enemies start appearing. The artifact is particularly fun because it gives me a more unusual way to deal with groups of enemies. The cooperative structure is easily the strongest part for me. The game is designed around playing with friends, and working together makes the encounters much more enjoyable. I liked having teammates nearby when the hordes start piling in, because covering different directions and helping each other survive …

There is no actual control settings : no key binding, no mouse orientation... Look cool but not playable for those used to the classic fps orientation aka 'inverted' or those who dont'know how to change their keyboard layout to qwerty

As a FPS, Horde-Shooter fan, I absoluotly love it! plus [if you ever played Pain-Killer, you will get the same vibes but COOLER] I recommend to play it with a friend, solo is not as fun but still nerve wracking also I REALLY LOVE niece games by small studios! KEEP UP <3

very fun game for the 20 minutes it took to beat with a friend :D
