Players appreciate the core concept of designing custom units for an RTS, which some find genuinely engaging and unique, though the vehicle building system itself feels clunky and unintuitive. The single-player campaign offers decent variety with different weapon and propulsion unlocks, but the gameplay can feel repetitive, multiplayer is dead, and the game has stability issues on certain platforms. Many see potential in the idea but feel the execution fell short, and interest has shifted toward the sequel.
bought this cus it was cheap and looked kinda nifty. the vehicle designing part was really clunky and hard to use and the gameplay was kinda... meh. I might give it another try at a later point and maybe its actually a frickin awesome hidden gem but, yeh
Development has moved to the sequel of this game (and multiplayer appears dead) but while it lasted many weapons and handful of propulsion methods wit various sizes have been added (2 amphibious, 3 ground and omnidirectional rockets in ~2 sizes for flyers). Game contains ballast tanks for submarines but during campaign there is only one aquatic map I think. Single player campaign consists mostly of typical rts matches and 2~3 missions where your can't rebuild units. Each mission has custom map. After each mission you unlock new propulsion or weapon. Minimal story in form of text messages during and right before mission. Winning on hard unlocks game plus (all parts avileable form start for you and the enemy). For some reason AI is 'afraid' of exploring your base an it task it couple of times to get the courage to destroy you completely. Almost no music (single track for combat and single climatic for visiting certain locations), sadly game doesn't incorporate music from trialer). You design your own units (havent tried the workshop) but certain actions (likely copy/paste) are not registered by undo/redo (undo delete works). Love this game, the idea of being able to create your own specific units for an RTS is something I love. Unfortunately it does NOT play well with steamdeck, as mission 4 of campaign seems to crash repeatedly.
a very interesting rts idea, maybye even my favorate, if people played it that is. super exited for sequel!
Never quite developed into something good
While a bit clunky I've had a fair share of fun in this game, mainly by making my on vehicles/mechas, and hell even if the game seems to be dead now it wouldn't be the first time the developer takes a (3) year-long hiatus
